I've posted up in Bridal Journals (and other places...just look for the ridiculously long threads about picky, picky things...), but I thought I'd jump in here, since I'm planning my wedding for May 5. Originally the date was July 7, but, hey, I'm impatient! So far all I have actually decided is that I'll be married in my fiance's church, with the reception to follow at an historic old house in the same area. I'm actually going to see the house (hopefully) on the 18th, at which point I really hope I can firm up the details and put down a deposit, since I need to know that's settled before I can do much else in the way of real planning. That's it for now, but I will try to post updates as things happen, or I develop new bridal psychoses...

Welcome to the boards! This is such a great place to be and to get new ideas! I know the beginning of planning can be overwhelming sometimes-I know our wedding date changed about three times early on as well! Can't wait to hear more about your wedding!

Hi. I am also getting married on May 5, 2007. Originally it's April 5th but we couldn't find any available reception hall we want and that's a Thursday so we moved it to May. I want the 5th because it's our Anniversary (dating) and it's easier for him to remember the date. We just moved to FL recently and we'll start our family here so our theme is Palm Trees.

Pashweddings.com has a lot of ideas and helpful advice that I can certainly use. I am so glad I found this site.
