Ceremony - what we want said
Hey girls, Today Damon and I finalised what we want said in the ceremony. Damons Aunt is the celebrant which will be lovely, rather than just having someone we dont know!
So we decided on our vows and have chosen all that we want said, we have emailed her and told her that any suggestions would be welcomed - it was very exciting sending that email!!

YAY!!!! Congradulations!!! Thats really cool his aunt is the officiant. My friend is doing ours. I think it is sooooo much more personal and memorable that way!!!
I can't wait till I figure it all out. I'm starting to work on it already though.

How exciting!! My uncle performed our ceremony, and it was very special. We also wrote our own vows, and spent a lot of time on them making sure they communicated everything we wanted.
How long is your ceremony going to be?

I'm terribly jealous Emily! That was the only thing I missed about being married in a RC Church, that we couldn't personalise it.
So are you saying the same vows each? Or have you each got individual vows? Did you get to write the whole sermon?

Thats great, My step-mom is a Methodist pastor and we just went over the ceremony. It is so special for us to have her do this (we probably will be her first wedding, so it will be even more special). So, congrats on finalizing it!! We have not even started thinking about it...

It is a bubbly feeling to have it done and feel likes it's what you want to express to each other and the world!!!

Thanks guys, yes we are very excited!!
Maroki - the ceremony wont be any longer than 30mins from start to finish.
Ann - We are both saying the same vows, we have pretty much been able to structure what we want said, she will probably make up a little story about us to say at some stage.
The nice thing is that we have asked her to mention Damons Dad during the ceremony(who is her brother), he was killed in a car crash when Damon was only 10 years old. I was talking to Damon about it on the weekend - I reckon I am going to be bawling through the whole ceremony! Because although we are already married we didnt really have time to write our vows last time and really only said what we needed to say to make us legally married, so its really important to us that we get it right this time - and we reckon we have!!!

That's awesome Em! We had a good friend become ordained to do our ceremony for us and we're so glad we did.

Oh, I can't WAIT to get to that point! I've been carrying around a notebook full of ideas for MONTHs now, but haven't had time to sit down and look at it.
Congratulations!

My aunt is a pastor in our denomination, and I'm thrilled that she'll be officiating at our wedding! She did DD's wedding and it was so wonderfully personalized. We're so lucky.
