Default Sandals

Has anyone done the Sandals resorts for their honeymoon?

We were going to do Turkey and Greece but when we told the travel agent our budget, he gaves us Sandals brochures We were a little bummed because we went to the Caribbean last year but I'm looking at the Sandals website and it looks incredible! Is it too good to be true?

My brother and his wife were considering Sandals in the bahamas, especially because it was a couples only resort, but the price jumped so high after a few months that they ended up going to the Atlantis resort and they absolutely loved it. There's 2 towers, one tower is for families with kids and the other is without kids so its cool that they give you options.

They did pass by the sandals resort and they said that even though it was beautiful, it didnt have that much of a fun atmosphere as atlantis did so who knows. I guess its good if you want somewhere quiet.

One problem I have with Sandals, is you will notice in the small print that they state that 'only mixed-sex couples are allowed'!!!! To me that is pretty fu*ked and narrow-minded in this day and age!

The Sandals resorts are beautiful but I agree that they are all a little on the reserved or stuffy side.

Look at the Lido resorts ( part of Superclubs)- your travel agent should have their brochure too.

Shaks, thanks for the info...still looking

Emily, I didn't know that either. How stupid...! They're losing money AND being a-holes!

Claire, thanks for the tip. I was looking on the site and it's definitely cheaper but I think they allow kids (which isn't a HUGE deal but, still...) and they don't seem to have as many activities. I don't know. Decisions, decisions!!

I'm definitely going to look into that before I book anything. The SuperClub resorts said right on the first page that they don't discriminate against...well a long list of things but basically anyone but I couldn't find it anywhere on Sandals' site. If I can't find it I'm going to give them a call tomorrow.

I don't want people like that getting my business either.

I haven't been to Sandals, but I know a couple that did. They loved it.

Personally, I think a trip to Hedonism would be fun.
