No one seems to know the answer to this, and I'm hoping someone (or many) here can help. Are you supposed to wear your engagement ring up the aisle? Do you have it on when they have you put the wedding ring on? What about for the picture of your hands; is it included then? I love my engagement ring, and would like to have it in the pictures. But, I don't know when it is to be on and when it's not. I'm not comfortable leaving it somewhere or with someone, as it is very valuable to me. What's the norm for this?

I've always seen the bride put the engagement ring on her right hand to go down the aisle, and after the ceremony is over and before photos start, place the engagement ring back on her left hand, closer to her fingertip. I plan on wearing mine together that way.

I wore my e-ring on my right hand before & during the ceremony, and before pictures I switched it to be in front of the wedding band.

I did the same thing... however, I also had another ring on the pinky of my left hand, and DH got confused and almost put the wedding band on the wrong had!

No one had a problem getting the engagement ring on and off of the right hand? I'm nervous it will get stuck, as it's a tighter fit on that hand than my wedding ring finger ;-)

I had mine soddered so did not encounter this problem. However, if you're concerned about your ring "sticking" on your right hand, just take it off entirely until the ceremony is over. You can always have someone hold it for you. Heck, it could even be in your groom's pocket for you to put back on as soon as the ceremony is over.

If you have trouble getting the engagement ring off, try putting a tiny bit of lotion on your finger.
