Default DIY table runners

I want to make dark copper satiny type table runners, plain and pointed at the ends. I have not been able to find the how-to. I'm not exactly a sewing expert but I figure this will be easy enough to do (why do I get the feeling that will be my famous last words?).

BTW, the reason why I want the dark copper satin is because it shows up as dark chocolate and is shinier than if I just got brown.

I don't know how to make one, but if you go buy one at Wal-mart and undo the seams it should be easy to make a pattern from it.

You can do it! If you are not good with a sewing machine then try the double sided tape it will work just as good. They even have this stuff at the fabric store you can use called hemming tape.

you should be able to make it very easy. you can make the ends any way you want to. they have fusing and it is SO easy you just Iron your seems on. you dont have to hot glue anything. if you go to JoAnns and tell them you want to iron the seems together they will know what you are talking about. I used the fusing as a quick fix to hem some pants and it worked wonderful!
