Joe and I have been together for 4.5 years and he dropped down one one knee about two months ago. I am glad that we waited so long, because I KNOW he is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. I come from a divorced family and his parents have been together for 35 years, so it is important to both of us. I had been getting impatient, and started pouting after 4 of our friends had gotten engaged (and none of them had been together as long as we had), and he pulled out the ring while we were laying in bed. He had asked my father's permission a month earlier and managed to have 2 picks of heirloom diamonds, one he denied. I had bridal magazines hidden and was planning for this anyways. I luckily was one step ahead...I am a micro-manager/organizer and have managed to book everything except catering and florists with our date 1year and one month away!! He has created a monster. I have 3 different filing systems and have researched everything... I am a bride on a budget always looking for a deal. I just cannot wait until everything is booked and I can relax (I am a Starbucks manager in downtown Charleston, SC and the holidays are coming, the busiest time of year, I will not have time for any planning then...). I have lots of files and ideas, but deciding on which ones to go with is the hardest part for me... that and the $$$. So, Hello everyone, I am so happy to join a group of friends to share ideas, successes, disappointments, and overall ways to make all of our lives easier. It's great to get different perspectives from all over to help all of our dream weddings come true!!
In Charleston, SC, October is a gourgeous time to get married, it is the least likely month in the year to rain, and the days are mil, but nights are not freezing. This is my place;
It has a working fireplace, a porch with rocking chairs, overlooking the marsh, with a gazebo on the dock!!! It is true Southern Hospitality!!!The second area is where I will be having the ceremony!!! I took photos while another wedding was being setup...
