Just Engaged a month ago!!
Hello everyone, you all seem so friendly here! Well my name is Ashley, I live near Mt. Rushmore (the mountain with the presidents heads) Yep, that's how my fiance and I met...we're both working there. I just work there seasonally because i'm a vet tech student. I'll be graduating finally in May 2008, so we're planning on having our wedding sometime after that. I've known him for about 4 years and we've been together for the past 2 1/2 yrs. We went on a picnic/hike to this really cool place out here where you can see mt. rushmore from afar and also harney peak, the tallest peak east of the rockies and west of the himalayas, and he set the right down on a rock and he said what's that...and then he said "will you marry me"....and that's how it happened....completely suprised me. When he called his family and told them his mom actually started screaming (happy-like)! And his sister (who's the same age as me) started crying and saying she's gonna have a sister! My mom of course was happy too, she knew it was going to happen sometime...she's a mom so she could just tell ya know. So that's my story for now!

someone else said it but yes you do live in a beautiful part of the States - I have travelled through those parts and was lucky enough to check out Mt Rushmore!

The date isn't set quite yet, it will be sometime in the summer of 2008. I have to take my national vet tech exam to become an official veterinary technician the 3rd week in june, and I don't want to be to stressed with everything (school and planning) so hopefully the middle of July, I also have to have an internship sometime after I finish school, so I have to figure in when I that needs to be done...my ultimate goal is to have an internship at seaworld...but i'll keep dreaming. We're going to visit a potential reception site this weekend, so we may have a better idea then. It's still 2 summers away...so I got lots of time to plan!
Would any of you know of a website where you can put in all your wedding info down like pictures and other fun stuff, so relatives can view it, that's no cost??? Thanks.
