Default What did you use?

What did you ladies use to keep all your wedding stuff together? I bought a three subject notebook, but I'm wondering if that'll be enough or if I need more than that. Also, did you make up a checklist of what you needed to do, or did you find one somewhere?

I used a three ring binder that I received from a store trhat I registered at. It was already a planner and had all the lists and checklists, etc. in it. I found it very handy to keep track of all the details. Even with the binder you've bought already, I'd just print off the planner from here (which is very good, I used parts of it too) and put it in there.

i bought a wedding planning book but pretty much only used it for ideas and keeping receipts together. Its now in my desk drawer that is reserved for all things wedding. I have paper and my guest book my tiara all in there so that when i go to pack, i can pretty much find everything i need.

My Mom kept all my stuff together for me... she simply used folders. I got my checklist out of a bridal magazine. It covered the basic stuff, then I made a different one for my specific wants.

I used one of the small 3 ring binders. It's about half the size of a normal one and it had 3 pockets on each side.

3 ring binder with subject tabs and pocket dividers. The pockets are the most handy. When you find somehting you like you can just shove it into a pocket... I did alot of this in the early planning stages.

I used checklist. Each one I found I looked at and then would add to the one I made on the computer to make one that worked for me

I used just a folder with pockets. Options on one side and receipts and contracts on the other.

For organization I created a spreadsheet in Excel and built my own checklists, etc. I can send that to you if you want, just shoot me a PM with your e-mail address.

I did not have to collect the info so I had nothing to hold it in. Our Moms went looking at places then emailed, called, or sent photos. My MOH gave be a book that I could of put some info in but not all the paperwork had I had to collect it myself.

I just looked online to see what we needed and if we had it then did not worry about it.

We are a bit different since we were only engaged for 2.5 months. I did not have much time but I am glad for that.

My grandma bought me a wedding binder/planner soon after we got engaged. It had a lot of blank pages for notes and folders and I used the folders a ton....to put ideas/pictures in and towards the end to keep contracts and receipts in. I would definitely recommend folders....mine were categorized, so all "flower" related items were in one folder, "decorations" in another, etc.

Kerry, first of all, ahhhhh! I'm so excited you guys were able to choose a date! That rocks! And your new avatar is absolutely adorable.

I'm using a three ring binder and sheet protectors. I keep the sheet protectors clipped in and when I found something I liked from a magazine, I just tore it out and stuck it in one. I also stuck copies of contracts and vendor info in there. The Pash planner is awesome. I like it even better than my State Farm one, which is pretty comprehensive.

Also, WeddingChannel.com has a good toolkit for managing your guest list and coming up with a budget. I've found it super helpful.

I bought a wedding planner book that had all sorts of checklist in it. It told me what I needed to have done each month and gave advice in each area of the wedding process. It came with a pocket in the back to keep receipts and pictures in. I also had a spiral notebook where I kept track of decor ideas and wrote down all of my final plans. I ended up having more to write than to save in pockets.

I got a binder from the ring place (Tony gave it to me on the night we got engaged). It was so cool. It had tabs for different things and I just bought some pockets for it for receipt, etc. I used a lot of checklists, including one from Bliss.

Default some links for wedding planners

I used 2 wedding planners I got for free. One I got free with a JC penny gift registry, I think you only have to register 15 gifts online, print it out and then bring it into the store, and they give you a planner.

The other one I got on this sight. No strings attached just free, weird, but cool.

Both of these planner are great one both have things the others don't, but just one would do you just fine.

Here is an online wedding planner, it is alot like the paper one, with all the checklists and everything (oh and they offer you a pretty cool free web page).
