I am excited i have to brag a little bit. I got the photographer I wanted!!! She takes excelent pictures!!! She has done family pictures for us in the past, and took beautiful baby pictures of Ace. She just took the pictures at a wedding for a friend of mine and them came out beautifully.

She is going to take 500 pictures at the wedding, we get the proofs the copyrights, and the CD with the pictures on it (used to be negatives, but she moved to digital), so we can copy duplicates of whatever we want and only have to pay what is cost to have it done at a photo shop, or off a computer. And she has a very resonable price of $800.00 for the whole thing. I would post her web sight, but she doesn't have one

But she does do lovely work. I am excited YAY!!!

That is great news! I think it is one of the most important parts of the day (for me it meant more than my dress!) I'm really happy for you that you managed to book someone who's work you love & that you can trust. Andt sounds like a brilliant deal too!

That's so great!! Good price too. Like Ann, I think the photographs are of utmost importance. I hope you'll be as pleased with yours as we both are with ours!

Wow! That's great and it's a great price. I couldn't find anything quite that low price but I really like ours too! congrats getting a major step taken!

Wow that is really good my photographer is like 4 times that and we dont get the CD or the copyright

But congrats to you. It is nice that you have a friend that has them and it is someone that is trustworthy and it not going to come with all these hidden fees

That's amazing. Such a good deal. Getting the digital negatives is such an important part to us, too, but all the photographers here that offer that seem to be too expensive. Well... at least the ones Chris approves of... he's so picky about it.

I don't think she advertises a whole lot, and relies mainly on word of mouth, and thats how we got such a great deal, but she does great work, and at a price like that I'm not gonna complain. My brother is getting married next July, and his fiance's mom is trying to convince the photographer to go up to South Dakota to take there wedding as well.

PLEASE CHECK THE DATE OF POSTS. This one is OLD, and if you paid attention to any more recent posts rather than looking for anything that possibly ties into your line of work no matter what the date, you'd know your well-meant comment is inappropriate.

Sorry. These boards move so slow... And I actually participate in a lot of wedding related conversations - on busier boards especially. On photography related threads I just happen to be especially knowledgeable. It's not a sales ploy - few brides on here are looking to spend in the area that we charge.

Since we're a "slow" board you must really have a lot of time on your hands that you can afford to waste it with us. Since we wouldn't want to spend what you charge why are you here?

I just think you need to do a little research b-4 you go bring up old threads like this one. You don't know what has happed since that post was posted. You might think we have a slow board but we are happy with it!

She wasn't asking for advice, and you weren't sharing your expertise, merely congratulating someone on news from back in August; news that no longer needs to be celebrated in light of later events. Not that I'm suggesting you dig up old posts that *are* asking for advice. Stick to new threads. We actually do have a decent amount of traffic on this site, so if a thread hasn't been posted on in more than a few weeks, and CERTAINLY more than a few MONTHS, you can figure you don't need to bump it.

We may not have enough traffic regarding photography to keep you interested.
