Default Dress

Just wondering what girls already have their dresses.

I narrowed my dress selection down to 3 after trying on a million. The 3 happened to be at the same store. When I returned to the store to compare all 3 again.... I found that 2 I really didn't like and 1 (that I liked the most) was sold off the rack. It's a Maggie Sottero. When I called all the shops within a 50 mile radius nobody carried that specific dress.
The only way I can try it on again is if I pay a $50 non-refundable fee or wait until the trunk show- which is in December.

I don't know if I should continue to look for another dress or wait until the trunk show. I'm worried that won't be enough time. I keep comparing every dress to this one. Even though I wanted to make some changes (remove straps, train shorter and a straight neckline instead of princess)

I think you should keep looking, maybe you'll find something better. If not, maybe you can order it online?

I do want to try it on again before I order it. I've looked online to see close-ups of the dress & really really like, but it always looks different on.

Would getting the dress in December be to late?

What's the style name? I've been looking to dresses too, but just looking I have plenty of time for my wedding, and I'm in love with one of her dresses, I haven't gone to any store to see if they have it, I saw it online. Ohh, you can try this website www.bridalmart.com they have designer dresses a lot cheaper, one of my friends ordered her dress from there and she paid $200 less of the regular price in a local store for the same dress. You have to call for prices, they won't give a quote via email. I've been meaning to call to see if they carry any Maggie Sottero's dresses because they don't have it listed, but it says that if you want a particular designer you can call to see if they have it.

when is your wedding? You always want to give them about an 8 month cusion and make sure you dont give them your exact wedding date, tell them its a month before, that way they wont rush you 2-3 weeks before for the fittings. They did that to my SIL and they wanted to charge her minimum $350 for alterations and supposedly the dress had barely come in. ya right, im pretty sure it was sitting there a month or two before

I used a dress shop in florida that specializes in maggie dresses (mine is the maggie pandora). the link for the shop is www.lilysbridal.com (i dont get anything from them for posting the site name). maybe you can find it on there? I agree that something else may come along but i would also allow 8 months for alterations/fittings/things to go wrong!

I feel somewhat the same about the dress that I found and fell in love with, I hadn't looked at a million places like you, only about 10 different shops and maybe 25-40 dresses, this made me nervous in the case that I though...May Iam not looking hard enough, what if I buy this dress and find something else...But honestly...IT'S THE DRESS OF MY DREAMS!!!! So I will no longer look...

Possible suggestion... You were saying that you would like to change some things on the dress that you have already found? Would you consider having your dress made? This was you are gettin EXACTLY what you want!
It may also save you $$$ in the long run! Then your not buying a dress that isn't "exactly" what you want, so your Paying the cost of the dress and major alterations on top of that? Just a suggestion!!!

My dress is "destin" by Maggie Sottero.

I'm not worried about being able to find it. I've found a couple websites that offer the dress for cheaper. I just don't want to buy something without knowing 100% sure. Yes, I did try it on but I want to try it on again before purchasing. That's a big chunk of money to spend on a 99% decision.

I have thought about having it made but I wouldn't know where to start looking for that. I found one place that makes dresses when I first started looking and they wanted more than $1000 so I just figured that it cost more to have it done altogether.
