What month Fits what colors???
Hey Ladies!!!
I have, I guess maybe a silly question, We'll see what everyone thinks...
We (More like ME) Really like Red,Yellow,& Orange together!I would assume these colors would more suite a fall wedding, Possibly October? Am I right? I am just not to sure about months and what colors go with what, Does these even need to be a concern???
I wouldn't mind to have a October wedding, I think it would be neat to have something a little different, Something other than summer!!!
I do have another question...It may not go in this post though, I would like to find a picture of the color of my dress, It is "Mocha" and Iam finding it hard to find flowers to go, and I wanted to know what everyone thought of Mocha with the colors I have listed above??? I will edit and add if I find a pic, I'll have a look!
Thanks alot,
Jayme

I definitely think of those colors for fall. But it could be (IMO) September through Thanksgiving.
The link didn't work for me, but yes, those colors would look fine with mocha dresses, I think.

Cool beans, girl!
I think it'd be a great mix! All warm and vibrant colors - I think it's an original idea! Way to go!

It's awesome to hear some encouraging words!!! It's hard with this dress color, I was starting to think I may not be able to have "Mocha" because I wouldn't be able to have things match!!!!
Ok, So Iam off now to the bridal shop to pick up the little piece of material that will give you guys a better idea for colors!!! I will post in an hour or so with that color!!!!

Bouquets #3, #7 and #10 are either displayed against a mocha pillow or with mocha ribbons, so I think any of those three would look good against a mocha dress.

We're getting married in a couple of months, and I plan on using vibrant fall colors for the flowers-focusing on pinks, oranges, yellows, etc. My bridesmaids are wearing "nutmeg," which I keep telling them is just fancy for brown. Those dresses are at:
www.verawang.com/maids
The dress is #7, and if you click "detail" on the lower right of the page, you can get the color swatches to see nutmeg (fourth row down, second from the left). I've been using color swatches as a guide with flowers and it looks amazing! Not sure if that helps, but know that it's a pretty popular color scheme right now, so people must dig it!

The link worked for me... that's so pretty!
September may still be too summer-like to consider fall colors though. Mine was late September near the bay, and I was surprised at how warm it got that day. It sure didn't feel like fall!
Another suggestion - if you go into Laurie's bouquet thread, JanPear had posted a link for her bouquet, and she had chocolate brown in her wedding (your color may be similar). The flowers are dark red - check it out.

fall colors
I am new to the forum and thought I would let you know my daughter got married in the fall, October 1 last year. even though it was not real colorful outside yet we used alot of fall accents such as sunflowers, leaves, branches and other rustic accents like wood candle holders on the tables with scatered leave as a runner. It turned out really nice. for the unity candle we used two pillars with a glass piece covered in lace. The pillars had wood and leaf wreaths at the base and leaf garland winding around to the top. Now my son is getting married and I am helping plan. He is getting married on november 25th 2 days after Thanksgiving. I don't want to do a repeat venue for his wedding. Do you think it is to early to do a winter theme? Just wandering what people think? Jewelry

Those colors would definitely work for October and November. I'm not so sure about September though because that's still the tail end of summer. I got married in late September, but it sure didn't look or feel like fall that day - the weather was balmy and mild.
And I do like that bouquet. However, I'm trying to visualize what shade of brown "mocha" is. Is there a picture you could put up, or is there one up already (I lost track!)

Reading the colors I think fall, but in truth it depends on the shade of orange.
If you are doing a true orange color, definately more fallish.
If you are thinking more of a melony orange color (that hot right now) I could see it in spring too. (esecially if you went with a pinky red and not a true red)

Hey, welcome to Pash! You should post a new thread so people find this question -- to answer it, I think it is probably too early for a winter theme. What do your son and his FW think?

I think of those colors, I love those colors. But I will be getting married in October, and because I picked a complicated lace dress with rose colored beading, those colors don't fit. So instead, I am doing a claret red and gold. Its ok to be different!!!

From the flowers in the link I think fall. Though, I was thinking maybe even late late August could work but not sure how things are up by you. I just know when I got married in mid-Aug it was still HOT out that yr. Red (Apple from DB) was my color. My florist mixed in some yellows and oranges but in brighter tones along with pinks and cream so it would be more summery since we had an outside wedding in a garden.
Various shots of my flowers:
My cake I made:
So if you go with the darker tones I definitely think more fall but if you are willing to lighten things up you could be summer.

Mocha should look great with those colors! October just seems like the perfect month to me! (maybe that is because that is when we are thinking about!) Plus if you are up to it you could have a fall themed wedding, apple cider, pumpkins, gourds, squash, fall leaves, all things that are easy to get and not so typical!
