Default BM dress -- deal or no deal?!

I found this dress today while I was taking a spin through David's Bridal. It's on sale for $99 and I'm not sure if I'm only liking it because it's on sale for my BM's budgets. I thought the "Latte" color would go well with Fall oranges/browns next year. Should I panic and drag my BM's to David's Bridal for the deal or wait because I might fall in love with something else?!?!

Personally I'd wait-especially if you have a whole year to plan. I'm using "nutmeg" for my bridesmaid dresses since we're getting married this November, and there are a TON of options in those colors from a bunch of different companies-and more coming out all the time! Plus, keep in mind that if it's on sale at DB, they may not have a lot of size options, etc. for your maids. Browns, lattes, nutmegs, whatever are very hot colors for weddings right now, so I think if you bought your maids dresses a year in advance, you might discover that you see something else you like even more in the meantime. Especially since it doesn't sound like these are your favorite bm dresses ever, but just dresses you thought were pretty good but a good deal.

Let us know what you decide!

I'm in total agreement.

I'm with the others, I think you should wait, you still have time for BM dresses, keep looking, the internet is a good deal for that, and you probably will find something that you are going to fall in love with it, maybe at a better price, maybe not, but the thing is that is going to be the style you defenitely love... so just hold on for a little bit and do your search..... suerte

I don't know, I'm a buy-it-now-and-it's-one-more-thing-that's-out-of-the-way kind of person. I would just do it if I liked the dress. But, that's just me! Of course, take a BM or two and make sure the dress is as nice on regular people as it is on that model.

You still have quite a while. I'd wait. I'm really glad I did, because one of my maids JUST announced she is preggo and if we had bought dresses at Davids, we'd be SOL because they don't carry maternity dresses in the colors we've chosen. You just never know what life will throw your way in the next year!

I'm pretty torn! I have a BM in Virginia, and the others are all in the area, so who knows. The good thing is that they're on the "Special Value" rack. I asked the saleswoman if that meant whatever was there was all they had, but she told me that if it's on the "special value" rack that means they are still orderable in various sizes, but once the warehouse is out of them, they will go onto the "Clearance" rack.

I'm such an impulse buyer for EVERYthing in life. I just keep seeing those dresses with the fall flowers in front of it (red/oranges, browns, yellows) and I love it. I can also wait for a good thing, too. LoL. I guess we'll see!!

My other problem is that my sister has tattoos on her right arm. It doesn't really bother me, I suppose, but I don't know how she'd feel in a dress like that. It comes with the wrap, but if it's warm not all the girls might want the wraps. Maybe the wrap could set apart my sister as the MOH.

My sister has gotten several up and down her arms in recent years. Sigh. Not my deal, frankly, but it's sort of part of what makes my sister my sister, so I'm pretty sure they're going to be large and in charge at the wedding....

I had this situation. My sister was 5 months preggo at my wedding. We had already bought the BM dresses (from Davids). They let us exchange the dress that was WAY to small for a larger (non-maternity) dress. It worked well. They didn't even charge us for alterations.

Wow, whiddle!! Did she like the dress? No complaints? I JUST showed my mom the dress minutes ago and she really likes them. One BM and my MOH (sister) are kind of busty, so I hope they'd be comfy in it.

She loved the dress. The store can add straps unto the dress once it comes in (for bustier women) and it comes with a shawl. I think they were going to charge $12.00 to add the straps.
