I've got a really bad case of Florida feet. I wear flip flops or slides ALL the time, I go barefoot around the house. It has taken its toll on my widdle feet.

One heel is dry and cracked and isn't responding to my use to Heel Cream on it every day. I really use it to disguise its ugliness anyway. I hate having an ashy foot. The other foot isn't as dry, but it's dry. They' been like this for a while.

What can I do to fix this? It's SO ugly.

Slather your feet with AHA Peppermint Foot Cream, and put on socks to sleep. (I hate having my feet covered when I sleep, but this works.) Do it EVERY night until the wedding.

I'm not advertising bath and body but they have a gel lined sock that works pretty well. It also comes with a foot cream that has shea butter in it which really help. Pretty much anything with shea butter will help.

If you dont wanna spend the $ on gel socks, then any ole sock will do, just slather on cream w/shea in it and put on the socks for about 20 minutes every night. Thats pretty much all you need.

If youre in LA, i can hook you up w/my discount.

Any old sock will do, but be sure it's white cotton or some other such. You'd think that was a "duh", but I knew a girl who slathered her feet with lotion then put on hot pink fuzzy socks. Her feet were covered with sticky fuzz. It was actually pretty funny.

If the "sock advice" doesn't work, you may want to visit a podiatrist. Sometimes, foot fungus can look like dry feet.

If its not some sort of medical related problem as feb suggested, you should start with regular pedicures. You don't even have to go to a salon to get them done - that gets really pricey! Soak your feet in some warm soapy water (use bubble bath or shower gel or something) and after a few minutes use a foot file on the rough areas. something like this: http://www.drugstore.com/products/pr...BUY-GFI-0-PPCS

I actually keep a similar foot file in my shower, and at the end of my shower spend 30 seconds or so on each foot around the areas that tend to get rough. Be REALLY careful about overdoing it though! One time I was a little overzealous with the filing and removed ALL of the thicker skin around my heels. They were baby soft and smooth, but the necessary protection was gone too, and they hurt like a mother for a week! The sock/lotion idea is great too. I prefer to use Palmer's Cocoa Butter lotion for this. It smells wonderful, and is drugstore cheap too!

You guys rock \m/ thank you!

I don't usually pamper my feet. Looks like it's time to!

Try Zim's Crack Creme. It kinda smells bad, but it's not that strong. Also Avons foot creme is good!

Also, Neutrogena has a food cream in a smal tube which I remember being kind of expensive, but it works awesome! It has kind of a mediciney (sp?) smell to it and it's more like a gel than a cream. I highly recommend it. I also put on socks, just regular ones, at night after I apply the lotion. I like doing that more because then it doesn't get all over my sheets.

wellllllll 5 light-years later I went and bought a foot spa. I soaked my feet for about 30 minutes with Neutrogena light seseme oil in the water. I also bought myself the mother of all foot-files (surprisingly cheap) and dried my feet, then filed the nasty crap right off. In addition to the other "treats" I bought the Sally Hanson heel cuff things. Forget their actual name. And I slathered on the cocoa butter. So far, so good.

I am a damn mess from the ankles down huh?

LOL! Sounds like you got down to bid'ness with your feet! You can buy little booties that are made for wearing when you have lotion on them, etc.

That's what the little Sally Hanson dealies are. Forgot to mention their function. They just cover the heels and keep the moisture in. I can't believe I have yucky feet WHY ME?!@ just kidding

I'm the same way in the summer. I NEVER wear socks in the summer, it absolutely grosses me out. I wear sandals or go bare foot. Can't do that in the fall or winter up here though, so I have time to take care of them.

I had a pedicure for the first time ever right before surgery. I'm not sure that I liked it very much...

Then you must have not had a very good one. I *love* pedicures.

If it was your first pedicure ever, definitely give it another shot. Chances are that your poor feet needed a lot of work (like mine did the first time) just because it WAS the first time. The 2nd and all subsequent pedicures have been WONDERFUL!

Oh, heaven!! Every two weeks in the summer, every four weeks (sometimes more often) in the winter. Sit back in the spa chair that has the massage kneading up and down your back, the warm, scented water bubbling around your feet, the massaging of your toes and ankles and calves!!! Gotta go... I think I hear my massage chair calling...
