scratching chin Am I crazy? Be honest!

I've mentioned before how much I love some of the photography many of you have had for your wedding, and I wish I would have done some things differently. I really only have a handful of pics that I like - out of about 250.

I was telling Mike that I wanted to have a 5-year vow renewal so that I could take new pictures.

After this discussion I thought - why can't I? Why can't I put my wedding dress back on, do my hair and make-up, and hire a photographer to take photos? I have a friend who is a really good photographer and I'm sure she would love to do something like this to add to her portfolio.

Is this crazy?

Not at all. I say DO IT!!!!! Will it just be you and Mike? Or are you being the parents and BP back too?

I think it would be fun!!! I also wish that I would have done pics differently, but I know I will never ever get Josh to agree to a renewal, unless he softens as he ages! Go for it!

It would just be me. I don't have any really good photos of just me. There are a lot I like with Mike and I, and the families and BP so I'm being totally selfish and vain for this.

I think I might... I'll send an e-mail to my friend to see if she can do it.

ETA: Yay! She's up for it. Now just to pick a date. My dress is already cleaned and preserved, but I'll only have to get it re-preserved. It wasn't that expensive and it'll be worth it.

You could get in on that really good preservation deal down there in the classified ads... just a suggestion!

But i think that would be a great idea... and woo hoo for five years later and still being able to fit in your dress! I dont think thats usually the case! hehe

And get professional "photographic quality" makeup done.

And have a glass of wine or three to relax.

You are really just having "engagement photos" or a "bridal portrait."

Put it with the others and bet people that they can't find the three differences.

Those are all great suggestions Wynelle!

michaelsbride - we've only been married just over three years, not five!

Yeah you are crazy.

But on the topic of the bridal portrait, I say go for it! And I want to see all of them when they are finished. None of this 3 photo nonsense All of them.

lol, you got it Ann.

michaelsbride - no big deal! I would be just as happy to be married already for five, I just don't want to age myself any faster.

Is this a hint towards me? Lol. If not, well, I still feel bad b/c I didn't post all of them. I need to hit up someone with a T-1 connection...or at least high speed.

And I think it's a great idea H!

That is a great idea! I would definitely go for it. No one will be able to tell them apart, I bet.

I hope I can tell them apart. The whole purpose is because I hated my hair, lol.

Heather, I think the pictures you have shared you look wonderful, but I don't think you are an oddball for wanting to redo them!

The pictures I've shown are a few of the ones I like. I do have more than a few of photos of Mike and I that I love.

Thank you!

this sounds like a great idea. I hope i can still fit into my dress 6 or even a year after my wedding lol

I would love to see a before and after shot! I'm sure you'll look stunning because with the new pics, you wont have the wedding day stress showing on your face

Ok, where are the pic's you've posted? I've only seen 2 pics...of your hubby w/friend or brother, and one with the two of you dancing....did you post more or are those the ones everyone is refering too? Yes, you must have more done...we all like pics....and if I had a camera I'd post up the wazoo, but I don't so you all have to wait til after the wedding.

Well, this is going out the window. My "Friend" who offered to take the pictures is pretty much no longer my friend. This girl went psycho on me, like 16-year old jealous boyfriend psycho. I won't be seeing her anytime soon for anything.
