Different wedding dress
This is my second marriage and I was wondering if I were to chose a champagne color dress, would it be inappropriate??? My wedding is October and I wanted my colors to be Champagne,Ivory and Burgundy??? Any ideas or suggestions or opinions with this???? Thanks!!

 Welcome to PASH!
It is your wedding if you would want to wear black then I say go for it. It is not a law that you have to wear white or even a formal gown on your wedding.

I agree with LJ!
If you look in bridal mags, you'll see that some dresses are coming out in pastels now instead of just white; and that is regardless of which number marriage it is.
Your colours sound very classy! Have fun with it!
And welcome

Welcome!
Sounds beautiful. As a second time bride it's probably a bit more appropriate to stay away from a stark-white dress, but some brides still do it (and should if they want.) I think champagne would be lovely with the color combo you're thinking of.

Champage sounds beautiful! Go for it! It's YOUR wedding... and white doesn't neccessarily mean "purity" anymore; now it just reperesents Joy. Wearing white is a relatively new idea, started in the Victorian era. Before that, it was any ol' color the bride happened to have.
Idea: For your guests, give out Hershey Kisses with a champage - colored foil... "champage kisses" so to speak.

I agree with everyone else. Whatever you like is fine. I was a second-time bride. It was my hubby's first marriage. I wore a dress that was ivory and rum pink.
Your colors sound very nice. I think you should go for it!

I think that would look great! I wore a color called antique gold, but it was really a champagne color. It looked better with my skin tone than white or ivory too.

Welcome to Pash Crystal!
I think champagne sounds lovely Have you been to try any dresses on yet? It might help to see how it looks on rather than just trying to picture the colours. I would have loved to have a champagne, or rich ivory dress.

I just saw it in the magazine! But it was saying that the bikini was her reception outfit
It had a photo of her in her dress, but apparently it is just the first of 3 weddings that Kid Rock & her are going to have!
They're supposed to be having the others in different parts of the country so that different friends & family can come! Now why didn't we all think of doing that?!

Thanks for the great advice!!!
Nope I don't have a link for the type of dress I want but I know that I want a strapless cinderalla type dress... I want it to have a large petticoat to go up under it!!! I want the wedding to have a magical but romantic type theme!!!! I am going to have an ivory runner with burgundy roses petals going down both sides of the runner!!! I have also booked a decorator that will put around 30 candles and a whole bunch of ivory and champagne colored roses out at the ceremony and reception!!! I am soooo excited!!! I will use the gold wrapped kisses idea also as favors!!!!! Thanks everyone for your thought and ideas!! They are well appreciated!!!!! If you have any more ideas please swing them my way!!!!! I love PASH!!!!!
