If you're not getting married for a while, I'd poke around at dept stores around holiday time for a pretty dress in the color you want. I got one for my sister at Wal-Mart during Easter season for $15.87 in ivory to match my dress and she looks perfect in it. I ended up spending more on her little crown than on her dress!
Here is the whole ensemble I got, the entire thing cost about $50.
Flower girl's dress:

FG crown:
And the little kissing ball she will carry:
I've also heard that Amazon.com has inexpensive flower girl dresses.
Good luck finding something, I'm sure you will!

If you can sew or know someone who can sew, you could have someone sew the dresses. I have two little flower girls and I bought all the material (maybe $40 or $50 for two dresses) and picked out the pattern and gave them to the mothers, who then sewed the dresses. They look adorable!

My mum made the dresses for my FGs and it wasn't at all expensive.
And a family member, who's getting married in a couple of weeks, got the dresses for her FGs from a department store (it was Next for anyone in the UK & they are really cute, ivory with gold butterlies)

You need to click page 6, then it's the ivory one in the top corner. It was about £40 which would be (?) $65 ish...

Angela, when is your wedding? My suggestion is the same as Bryanne's --- check department stores. The dresses may be pricey during the season (but probably less than the bridal shop's), but after you can get some great discounts. The store that pops to mind for me is Dillards, if you have that. They have gorgeous dresses and you can get awesome deals during sales.

I am looking for ivory dresses, and my wedding is in November so I don't have much time. I looked in every single mall store, and all of the stores (even department stores) only have out casual and denim dresses. I sure hope they put out dressier styles soon. This is very frustrating! I really like both styles you guys posted above, too

There are a bunch of flower girl dresses on here that are a lot less than what I've seen through bridal places. Good luck!

I got mine from www.pinkprincess.com, they were the fancy fancy flowergirl dresses and they cost 39.99...they specialize in pagent dresses so they have tons of styles for selection. I was very happy with what we got.

Hey CW....did I tell you about my flower girls and thier kissing balls? When we were waiting to walk down the aisle, one of them was swinging it all around (and do you think her mother would ask her to stop, no) but the handle broke....and since we were literally about to walk down the aisle...we just had to scrap the whole idea and the flower girls had no flowers...

Uh oh! Although I did have my sister play with hers to see if it could take the whirlwind that is Emma, and it held up pretty well. I'll have to pick up a spare just in case!

We're getting married in November as well, and after shopping around, we found FG dresses at David's Bridal for 99/each. A lot of the others I'd seen were 150-200, so considering that I really wanted them to try on (since kids sizes are always a challenge with them always growing and all) their mom and I agreed that this was a reasonable amount to spend to ensure that the dresses fit well and the little girls looked beautiful for "their" big day! We got adorable dresses in ivory, and we're having ribbons made for their waists to match the fabric of the BM dresses. Guess it wasn't really a "deal" but I was nervous about getting them something without seeing them in it first. I'm not a big David's fan, but I have to tell you-their flower girl dress selection is amazing!

It wasn't a flower girl dress, but I got my daughter's first communion dress at Walmart for $11.87 and it would definitely work for a flower girl (this one was white). With the wedding in November, there should be some holiday dresses coming out but that would probably be cutting it too close. What about a bridal consignment shop????

I got my flower girls dresses off ebay. They are gorgeous. The ebay store was DucklingsandDaffodils. Check em out. They were reasonable, excellent dresses, all new, and fast delivery.
