DIY Wedding Invites
I was thinking I wanted to make my wedding invititaions but I am not sure how I shoudl start I was them to be Pink and Green and really classy but I am just not sure where to begin. Has anyone else made there own invitations? I can do caligraphy so there would be no problem there and I could also print them out on a printer.

I purchased mine invites at a store then printed them up on the computer and most people did not even know until we told them we did them ourselves.
So look around or start playing with some paper if you plan to do the completely yourself.

We did our own and they turned out beautifully. We found a good paper store and printed the words from the computer. It worked well because we were able to get the paper cut from the store to the right size and set up an assembly line to put the rest together.

Craft stores like Michael's, Jo-Ann's, Hobby Lobby, Archier's (sp?) but they do just scrapbooking type stuff.
Wal-Mart has some scrapbook paper and resume type paper in the offcie section. I know they have a few pre-made invites that you just print yourself in the craft section down the wedding isle.
Check out office supply stores like Office Max, Office Depot, or Staples.
Hope that helps.

You can also buy paper and other invitation pieces online. I did a quick search and came upon http://www.formal-invitations.com/ - they seem to have charms and envelopes and everything you need - even pre-printed generic reply cards. However, I have not yet had my wedding or started making my invitations, so I don't know how good any of this stuff is.
Good Luck! Let us know what you end up doing and how well it works.

If you want pre-done stuff that you just need to print your own information on, then the suggestions are good for the craft stores and such but if you want to make your own the whole way then I would suggest looking around and do an interenet search for wholesale places around you.
I found http://www.anchorpaper.com/ by me and it was so much cheaper than going to a craft store like Joann's or Michaels. I was able to buy the parent sheets of the paper I liked, which is the giant sized page. I think I was able to get about 25 rectangles out of each sheet. The most expensive sheet was 50 cents a page. Plus they cut it for me. If they didn't have the parent sheet, then I was able to buy it by the pound. This store also had matching envelops if you were looking for that. Plus it has other craft items available. I would look and see if there is anything even remotely close to you and make a day trip to look at all the different paper options.
