Default I'm still around!!

Sorry I haven't been on here lately. I'm not sure what I've been doing!

Here's an update on my life.....

1. We are actively looking for a house or apartment to rent and have one solid lead. I talked to this guy yesterday who has several rental properties in the area within our budget available in August and he'll let me bring my cat. I am hoping TJ can go look at them this weekend and pick one.

2. I've started packing, but do not have any more boxes. My cousin is supposed to move this weekend and has promised me his boxes. I may start driving around to the back of stores to look!! I also found a place to buy some. My apartment is a complete mess. I did manage to take some dishes to Goodwill yesterday.

3. I was supposed to train for a new position at work this week and then the day before they decided that I had too many unexcused absences and made my supervisor (who had nothing to do with this -- she wasn't going to be my supervisor anymore!!) tell me, but she had to call me because I'd left already!! They did the same thing to a friend of mine (who has more than I do) We found out that the reason they waited so long to look at our attendance was because they hired too many people for training so they started looking at who they could cut. The one problem is is that when they outsourced my previous customer care position they told us that if we were not comfortable in our new position we could move at any time no matter what our attendance. Obviously they lied. So I am still in sales, but not for long as I will be moving to Kansas.

4. I got my wedding video from my friend and she screwed up royally. Turns out she turned the camera vertical to narrow the shot at several key places including ceremony and first dance so the picture is at a 90 degree angle. I don't know why she did that and didn't realize it it was not a picture camera and you can't do that!! At first she tried to tell me that she had no idea why it came out tilted. She said she asked the place she had the copies made at about editing, but it was too expensive. Then when I got it from her, watched the original cassette in my camera and figured it out she has now said she may have turned it a few times. I sent an email saying that I guess I'll have to watch it on the camera so I can turn it and save up money to get the editing done myself. I am hoping that she will offer to take the cassette back and have it done for me as it was her fault. If not, TJ also has a portable DVd player so we can watch it on that to turn it. I am quite upset though that she decided to try fancy things with a camera she was not familiar with. I also found out that she is the one that had the ceremony start when the Bishop wasn't even there!!(why she thought it was her responsibility to get things started and how she failed to notice no one at the front to officiate is beyond me). But other than all that it turned out okay (although where I sat her at the ceremony you can't see my face for most of it!! -- at least that was my fault.

Okay, i'm done now -- i need to read the 84 new posts I've missed!!

Thanks Feb!!

I will be happy when I am no longer working for the company I do now (not naming any names but it is a major home improvement chain ). I wasn't surprised by what they pulled -- it's been the same for the 3 years I've been there. They tell you one thing then do another (and then there's the issue of our bi-annual bonuses -- how is it that revenue is up, but the bonuses are down??? ).

I'm not even through the first page!!! Maybe if I just read and don't post????

I know my friend wasn't trying to mess the video up on purpose. I think she was trying to get what she thought was the best shot but wasn't thinking when she turned it. At least you can see everything so it is not a disaster. Just annoying.

And I am not sure why she thought it was her responsibility to start the ceremony -- maybe because she had the camera? I think she thought it was time to start because she had just left me alone in the bride's room and didn't want me in there alone too long Also, I think TJ and the BM were standing at the front waiting not knowing where else to wait.

I'm sorry the video got messed up!

My wedding dress almost got tossed! It was the church lady that saved it from being tossed out!

After I changed one of my BM's and MOH brought it up for my family to take care of. Well somehow, it ended up back in the bridal changing room and my cousin in-law found it tossed on the floor and the bag it was in was gone (Shauna brought it up in the bag, we have a picture of her doing it!) so my mom told Tiffany that all she had was a black trash bag and to fold it neatly and put it in there. Well in all the commotion, it got put in the trash pile.

I suspect my brothers ex had something to do with it, she hated me from before she met me.... and I have no idea why...... Except my brothers attitude toward Bob and I getting married...

And a friend said she use to coordinate weddings so I had her "tell us what to do and when" and she wanted to start the wedding before my mom was seated. She told the ushers/groomsmen to not use the runner, well you get the idea... she also told my mom I decided Daniel wouldn't walk her down the aisle (I didn't) and other more minor things......sometimes people overstate what they can do, but we forgive them cause they did their best. In the end Bob and I were still married!

Here is a hug none the less....

Now I know why I haven't been on here -- thunderstorms!!! I need to get off again so i don't get zapped!! i guess no swimming tonight either(something I've started doing lately).

Glad to have you back. Thanks for the update. I hope the house hunt goes well. My DH and I are starting to look as well, but it sounds like you're further along than we are.

Sorry about your video. I'm sure you'll be able to get it edited. Don't worry about it too much. Like you said, at least you can see everything.
