The engagement party was AWESOME!!!!
The party went VERY well. Right now this is the only picture that I have, Only because I was unable to take any pictures with my Camera, as I was busy visting with the 70 some people that came to celebrate with David and Myself.
The turn out of people was awesome, people that didn't RSVP came anyways, which was TOTALLY fine. We had enough food and MORE than enough alcohol for everyone. The weather here was 32degrees. Lets just say IAM SO HAPPY we have air conditioning in my parents house LOL, but with that many people it didn't feel so cool.
We got tons OF AMAZING gifts, and also some money to help David and I save for a house!!!
I will be posting more pictures when I get ahold of them...
P.S. David and I are thinking we might use this picture for our wedding invitation. What do you guys think???
Also, Is it once u pick a date that you have your bridal shower??? And what is the time frame to have it before the wedding? From what I heard you can have it anytime after u pick a date???

I like that pic for an invitation. It's cute.
I had my bridal shower 2 months before my wedding. I think having it any sooner is too soon. Usually people have it around or after sending out the wedding invitations. That way shower guests know they're also invited to the wedding and it's not just a grab for gifts. KWIM?

Glad all went well!
About the bridal shower. It's true that you can have it anytime after the date, but generally people have the showers a month or two before the event. Mine was the middle of September and we married on October 9. So it was a couple weeks, maybe three weeks. One shower I went to was in May and the wedding was in late summer and I kinda thought, for me, it was a bit early but that is just me. Really early people might think it is all about gifts....
Keep us posted!

I had mine six months before the wedding ONLY because I was moving to KY and have no friends up here to throw me a shower later... all of my friends are back in florida so we had a small shower before i left.

Yay! Glad your party went so well! Very cute pic.
I had my shower about 5 months ahead of time, but it was b/c my mom was coming in from out of town. I think really anytime is good that works for you.

I love the picture! My shower is this Sunday, so about 2 months before the wedding.

I wouldn't think anything of going to a shower 5-2 months prior to a wedding. That's just me. Whatever works for you and will work for your friends is probably fine!
Glad to hear the party was so fun! The picture is great!

I love the pic. It is so cute
I had my showers 4 and 6 weeks before my wedding. I would try to stick right around 2 months before. But it is what ever works best for you and your hostess

My family and friends shower was in March, and my wedding was in September. I had no idea why they wanted to have it so early, until it happened. My MaidOH lives in another state, and since they had it so early, she was able to come to the shower. It was a surprise to me. If they had waited, she wouldn't have been able to get off for both the wedding and the shower.
My work shower was about a month before my wedding.

That is a great picture of the two of you.
I wouldn't have your shower more than three months before the wedding unless there is a specific reason that you need to have it earlier than that.
