Apple red and cream in summer?
I just wanted some opinions. Would apple red and cream be okay for summer time? We are thinking about having our wedding May 12. Would the red still look okay even though its more of a fall/winter color??

I don't think of red as a "fall" color. I think that all colors are a go any time of year. It's all about you and what you want!

Beautiful combination and if you love it, go for it. I wouldn't necessarily associate those two colors with a particular season if it's done "right". Meaning, I'm not going to think you're having a Xmas wedding unless you start throwing green around, etc.

I actually think that could end up looking really summery if you wanted it to. Those are really great, versatile colors.

It sounds lovely to me. What were you thinking of making which colour?

I think they sound great! They actually remind me of cherry pie in the summer.

Sounds like a great color combination to me. Don't forget that there are softer variegations of many flowers where the red comes streaked with an off-white color, so that will give a lovely, lighter look to bold red flowers if your florist can suggest any blooms or fillers that do that.
I agree with everyone here...the red and cream works perfectly for summer. Think of a child in a little red bathing suit playing on a sand-colored beach...so pretty and so summer-festive!

Red as the primary color and cream as the accent colors. Is that what you were asking?

Thanks everyone for responding!! I think I will probably still go w/ the red and cream. But I could end up changing it.. hehe.. I'm going to David's Bridal Saturday to check out some wedding dresses and they have several dresses with red accents.. I'm excited!

Those flowers are awesome!!
I love hearing and seeing people's color choices. I agree with everyone else -- pick which colors you like, no matter the season. But red is pretty much good for any time of year.
