How much should I pay???
My friend who let out my dress never told me how much she wanted for it and I am sending her a Thank you card and would like to include a payment. Any suggestions on how much?

I'm really not sure. How many hours do you think she spent and did she make any special trips for it?

I would give her 7 a hour if you know how many hours it took her.

She made 2 trips to my apartment (about 15 miles round trip). I don't know how many hours she spent but it probably was no more than 4.
I was thinking about $50.00

$50 sounds good! My seamstress charged me $40 per dress and usually charges between $10-$30 for alterations, etc.. but I go to her too.. So I think $50 is good!!

If she's a good friend I'm sure she'll be happy with whatever you send, even if its just a small gift card and a thank-you note.

I think $50 sounds reasonable. She's probably not expecting anything. But, it's nice that you want to pay her for her time.

I would say $50.00 sounds good, as long as she didn't do any extra or difficult tasks with it, in which case I would trow in a little more. 50.00 for 4 hours comes out to 12.50 and hour maybe a little less if you count in driving and gas, but you get my point. I think it works well, but what it really comes down to is what you feel comfortable paying!!!
