Default newly engaged!
Hey everyone,

I stubbled across this website one night and decided to register! I am newly engaged (May 18, 2006) and am starting to plan a wedding for May 31, 2008. Everyone thinks I am nuts already! I have already tried on at least 15 dresses and have already looked at caterers and reception spots! I figured I have a little over 22 months... and I might as well make the most of it! I graduate from nursing school at the beginning of May 08 and my fiance graduates from his school April 08. I can't wait! Congrats to everyone on the board!

Welcome, and congrats on your engagement. I think it's great that you've already started looking into the "big" things. It is hard to plan a wedding while in school, so you will need the extra time. I look forward to hearing about your plans as they progress.

There are some great benifits from having so long to plan:
firstly, we'll get to hear about all the little details
secondly, you can really shop around for suppliers, so you'll be able to find the best prices & the best service
thirdly, you'll have time to try on another 50 dresses
