Hello Everyone!
We are Elizabeth & Hugh of Serendipity Crafts. We design & hand paint personalized signature guest platters for your special day.
We have a number of plate and platter designs to choose from.
To see examples of plates and platters which we have done for other brides, please check out our Customer Showcase Galleries. We have many, many pictures to post to our website, so if you have something in mind, we probably have it and if we don't, that is not a problem either. We welcome custom orders and we will even create a FREE digital sample of your custom plate or platter before it is even painted!
Don't forget to check back to this thread often, as we will be posting pictures of each new plate/signature platter that we create. If you have a question, please do not hesitate to post your question(s) here or you can also email us.

A few recent platters and plates

Personalized Signature Platter - Snap Dragons
Hi guys, I received my platter today! It is so wonderful, what a great job Hugh did on the painting. It sure looks like he will be in trouble for having to paint a lot more. I love it so much and the flowers turned out just like the picture looked, we can't express how much it means to us to be able to afford to have this wonderful piece of art on our signing table at the wedding, our guests will be so surprised at how creative an idea it is. It was wonderful doing business with both of you and the communication was great. Your work is beautiful and I will deffinatly spread the word. I doubt this will be the last plate I see from you. All the special occasions that I could use one for, lol. Thanks again guys. Meghan and Paul

Those are so cool! I'm thinking about the "count your blessings" one as a gift for my grandma with all the grandkids on it...

Thanks!
The count your blessings is actually a wood plaque. We have done plates which are similar but with little faces instead.

Thank you so much ... we love what we do!
Truth be told, we get our inspiration from our customer's ideas. ie - "Oh I need a gift for my son's coach. Could paint some sort of plate?" The next thing you know we are doing a coach's plate!
But now, you have piqued our (proud Canuck) interest (and here we thought we were the only people in Canada doing this) ... can we ask where you have seen them in TO?

Re: Design inspiration from our customers ... We are particularly proud of this plate. The customer emailed us a copy of this, their invitation ....

.... and Hugh painted this souvenir plate.

Hi Elizabeth! Boutiques...no big name stores...I can't remember off hand but if I go by them again, I'll take note.
They looked rather stick -figurish; but not in a cute way. If that makes sense!!

Thanks Kim! Check out our website - there are plenty of plates and platters for other occasions as well.
FYI - Hugh is working on a redesign of the site and with any luck, we will have all of our recent pics added to the customer showcase gallery sooner than later. LOL too many pictures - not enough time!

I think it's a neat anniversary thing as well.
I also remember hearing somewhere about having a special dinner plate that could be used by a family member for special occasions. Like, a good report card, a birthday, a promotion, etc. Just to celebrate the accomplishment. Do you and Hugh have anything like that? Have you heard of it before?

Do you do plates for 50th anniversaries? My ILs will be celebrating their 50th in February 2007.

The family platter is great with all the members on it. Do you by chance do pet bowls?

Yep but I don't have any really big ones (ie for german shepperds or labs). I have some for medium size (beagles) & small sized pets (cats & toy dogs). There aren't any pics of them on our website yet.
The dog bowl has bones or paws surrounding the bowl, plus the dogs name.
The cat bowl has little fishies or mice surrounding the bowl, plus the cat's name.
