Default Photos Post-Wedding

As most of you know our photographer took far more photos than we can afford to buy from him. I was just going through them (to edit the ones I pinched from his web site!) and found a really cute one of my mum & step dad... There is no way I can afford to buy them any more just now, and if I edit it & print it out it would have to be tiny or it'd look grainy...

Well I was thinking it might be nice to buy her a copy for Christmas but my dilema is: Is it awful to buy someone a photo that was taken from your wedding when it was (or will be by Christmas) months ago? Do you think it'd come across as just trying to bring the focus back to our wedding??

There is also a lovely photo of Mo's mum with all of her grandkids, and for the same reason I didn't know if it'd be OK to buy her that for Christmas...

these are the two photos...

All I keep thinking about was that Christmas card that someone mentioned where there was a photo of the B&G on the cover, and no mention of why even though their wedding was months ago!

I know they'd both like these photos, and I can't afford to buy them just now, so do you think it'd be OK to buy them at Christmas time?

I think it would be a great idea, especially if you attach a note saying that you just loved the pictures and thought it would be a wonderful gift for them.

I say go for it. Put the picture in a nice frame. When my brother got married, they took a pictures of my dad, myslef and all my rbothers. We all got copies for x-mas. We loved them, and everyone still has them up. I am planning to do the same for my wedding. All my brothers will be in tuxes, I am hoping it turns out great.

I know that my mother would actually love it even more because it would be a gift with special meaning. I say go for it.

It's definitely okay, especially for family. In fact this past Xmas I finally gave my Mom framed pictures of she and I, and of all of my siblings and I. My brother gave me a framed pic of my Mom and I from the wedding, and I gave a framed photo to both my brothers of them walking me down the aisle.

We all laughed about it because I was married in April 2004, and it was only this past Xmas that all of us thought about it at the same time. They had other photos of course, but nothing from our photographer and/or framed by me.

I think it is fine, they are both great pictures and I'm sure your family will be happy to have them. I'm not quite sure the reference to the card with thebride and groom on it, but I can see that you are not in these pictures so your not really drawing the attention back to you. I do think it is a good idea to mention that you just really like the pictures, and thought they would enjoy them as well.

I think it's a great idea. I don't think it brings the focus back to the B&G as you aren't in the pics, but they are great pics of a special time!!!

I think those are beautiful photos and would make a lovely gift for Christmas! It's not like they're more pictures of you and Mo and you're sending them to all your guests in lieu of presents...

I say do it!

Thumbs up

I agree with everyone else. It'd be different if you were sending pics of you and Mo to them, but your planning on getting pics of them. I think they will be lovely gifts.
