How about tatooing each others names in pretty cursive writing?

Could you just get a Celtic design? I think that would be lovely.

I love this idea. My DF is a diseal mechanic and I've worried about him wearing a weddng band. He says he will but take it off when he works. I know him all to well and he'll leave it on. We have talked about tattoos as a fun thing to do Pain fun?!?!?! I didn't want one showing because of the kids but this is an awesome idea.
IF you do your names or initials, you could also do your anniversary date...that way he'll never have an excuse to forget

I know a man who has his wifes name tatooed as a wedding band.. I think he did it though because he used to take off his wedding band and cheat on his wife, now he can't take it off...

Hand tattoos do eventually come off, as you use your hands all the time and so your skin flakes off to a greater degree than other place. For that reason, and because the hands are one of the most painful places to get a tattoo, I wouldn't do it. I love the idea and I love tattoos (obviously) but not on my fingers.

I'm just trying to picture as you get older and your hands get age spots and wrinkled. Cute now, not so much later.
That thinking has kind of been why I only have 1 tat! Everywhere will eventually look droopy etc...!!

Titanium actually comes in different grades. The lower grades were always able to be cut off and now most everywhere has the tools to be able to cut off the stronger stuff too. They're becoming more and more popular and I think the health industry is realizing they need to keep up.
DH did a lot of research because I was scared of titanium and that's what he wanted. He had to work for it.
