Default ceremony programs

I'm working on my ceremony programs and I am having trouble with the front of the program. I am printing my programs on white cardstock and putting a layer of vellum over the programs. (The vellum won't be printed on.)

I have the inside of the program all sent up, but I need help with the front.

Right now, I have two interlocking M's (since our names both start with M), a picture of our rings laying on top of our invitation (the invitation lettering is blurred), and a quote at the bottom. The quote is "Today I marry my best friend, the one I laugh with, live for, dream with, love...."

Any suggestions??

I just realized I should post a picture......much easier than describing it. I'll BRB.

ETA my picture. Looking at it, I realized I want to make the M's smaller and the picture a little bigger, to balance them out a little more. Yay or nay?

Yay. I used the same quote on my programs.

I have 2 thoughts.

You could format the picture so it was behind the text, then either lay the Ms over the picture, or the phrase...

Or you could sort of divide the page into thirds; having the Ms further up & a bit smalller, then the picture in the middle, but larger, then the phrase at the bottom.

I would put a box around the picture whatever you do with it. I just think it'd look more finished that way...

I think it looks good the way it is.

I might put your full names in a smaller font and see how that looks.

I like the design. It looks fine the way it is, but I would have to see what else you have in mind to make a fair comparison

I hope you don't mind but I had a bit of a quiet day today, so I messed about with it a bit.

These are slightly blurry as I'm not really used to my new camera yet... I like the first one best.

ETA: I just think the first one looks less 'home made'...

Ann, you are amazing!!! I love that first one.

What program did you use to make it? Is there any way you could send it to me?? I only worked on it for a short time yesterday, and I've been at the house for 12 hours today with no computer access, so no time to fool around with it. I would love it if I could steal your creation!!

ETA: Just checked my email. Thanks!!!

Hey Ann, what font did you use for the M's that you have in these pictures?? I can't find it in the ones you sent me.

It's Henry Morgan Hand.

I'm a bit of a font junkie Give me a min. & I'll try to see where I downloaded it from...

ETA: Here you go http://www.dafont.com/henry-morgan-hand.font

I was very happy to help, had a bit of a boring afternoon, so it gave me something to do

Oh, the second font I used was called Vianta but I think almost any script font would work there...

Ann,
It is showing up as Henry Morgan Hand on my computer, but the actual letters aren't the same. Maybe if I download the font it will be different.

ETA: It is different! I guess since I didn't have the font on my computer it selected a similar font and put that into the document. I've got it fixed now! Thanks so much!!

Once I take a picture of our rings on our invitation, If I have problems putting the picture in maybe I'll send it to you for help.

Thats beautiful Ann. I was actually gonna suggest putting the rings in the background as well.

You can use MS Word and just put the picture as a watermark.

Great job!

Ann, I'm giving you credit so go ahead and take it!!! It looks great on my computer, so I'll post a final design once we buy our rings (in 1 week!!) and take a picture of them on our invitation to put in the background.

Default Great Start

I think it looks great. But if you're looking for sugestions I would try shrinking the font size down on the quote to around a 14pt, and border the initials and possibly the whole front, as has been suggested earlier. Good luck.
