Well, I can put the dress on, but it does not zip up all the way sooooooo, I'm going to have to get a little creative.

My plan is to wear a thin tank top underneath and safety pin the back to it. I'm adding taffetta under my veil to hide the back. Hoping this works.

Or, I can add the tafetta to the back of the dress, kind of cape style.

Okay, this dress is very BIG as in WIDE and POUFY. I love it!!!! I am not wearing a crinoline in the picture and the bra I have on is not the right one (it's gone missing -- i think it is in the laundry). I'm holding it together in the back. I'm not wearing shoes.

AWWWW Robin, how perfect!!! Is it possible to have someone add a corset back, with thick straps so you don't have to worry about getting creative? Or like Lj recommended add panels to the side.

I'm just worried about you stressing about the pins being visable ect....

I added taffetta to the underside of my veil and it worked. Covers the back of the dress fine.

I will call my friend a little later and explain to see if she can do anything, but I have it taken care of if not.

Kim, I do feel like a princess wearing the dress!!! I am still a little concerned about the aisle not being wide enough for me and my uncle, even with the row of chairs I'm removing!!!

The only thing I am stressing about now is getting my apartment and car clean before the wedding, but I will be fine

You're going to look beautiful girl.

Are you going to keep your veil on the whole time? I didn't wear one at all so I don't know how that works. I think I would be way too worried about something showing or popping off. I would definitely add panels or the corsetted back - that's a great idea.

You're much more calm than I would be!

Yes, I'm wearing the bottom half of my veil the whole time. I love it.

My friend is coming tomorrow to look at the dress again and figure out what we can do.

16 more days Believe it or not, the dress is the only thing left to work on for the wedding.

Then, of course, there's my apartment to clean

Oh, one other thing......I find out this weekend if my Maid of Honor will be able to come. She is checking with her new boss. She may have some leverage as she was supposed to not start for about a week (to give her time to get settled in her new city and look for housing), but they asked her to come in this weekend and start!!

Don't worry too much about the appartment. You'll have plenty of time to sort that out after the wedding.

Are you going on honeymoon?

Actually, I need to get the apartment (except my room) clean before because I will have people over the night before the wedding I think at this point it just looks worse than it actually is, plus being sick makes it seem overwhelming, but I'm starting to get some energy back so I'm going to start picking up today and working on laundry. With a lot of rest in between. I'm limiting myself to drinking only gatorade, water and some juice. NO SODA.

We are going on a short honeymoon. We will spend our first night here, then head out to Orlando on the 4th(next day--Tuesday). We are staying at a Marriot hotel and have tickets to Sea World. I also want to try going to Gatorland and Downtown Disney. Whiddle has been most helpful with suggestions on places to eat and see We will be there 3 days, 2 nights. We'll probably get back late Thursday and then on Friday we may go to the beach here. Not sure about saturday, but we will need to go see if family for an hour or so so he can say goodbye as he may not see them for over a year if he gets deployed. He leaves Sunday morning.
