Default My favors

I'll start this one off since I already have photobucket open. Here's a pic of my favors:

I ordered the bags from Papermart.com. They were really inexpensive. We put 3 Lindor/Lindt truffles inside, all different flavors.

I LOVE Lindt truffles! YUM YUM YUM!

I don't have a picture of my favors. It was really just a stick of Winterfresh gum with a wrapper around it that said "Sticking together from this day forward Margie and Brad May 1, 2004" It was cute!

That is really adorable...maybe I'll do that instead of the boxes...I am so indecisive. Thankfully things are still a ways off, so I can afford to be...

Exclamation Whoa, sorry. I rambled big time!!

Ok, all this talk of favors is making me think of what to do. [Reminder: Getting married on the beach, no one will be there, but want to give a favor to tie into the theme when we return and have a small reception.]

I was originally thinking this little magnet with a wedding picture:
http://www.blissweddingsmarket.com/store/000260.htm

But then I'm thinking it will be a PITA to try to get a picture small enough for all those frames and the work involved in getting a picture and putting them all together in the time we return to when we have the reception. Also, in a past thread some of you thought a picture of the B&G wasn't a good wedding favor idea. And even though they won't be AT the wedding--they wouldn't necessarily want to keep us on their fridge as a constant reminder of what they missed.

So, now I'm thinking of getting shell Christmas ornaments, as our reception will be held in November to possibly beginning of December (waiting to see how home addition progresses before setting a date for that since it will be at home). Not those shells glued and painted into angels and santas, etc. But just a really pretty shell on a simple ribbon. Maybe if I'm really feeling creative I would switch out the ribbon for the personalized ribbon with our name and wedding date. What do you think of the shell ornament? (Yes, I'm 99% sure everyone coming celebrates Christmas. Even our Jewish friends do, as they're married to Christians.) I'm thinking this might be a good idea because chances are I can find them ON SALE in a month!!! So, I guess I'm just putting the feelers out if anyone happens to come across them anywhere, if you could please let me know where you found them. Thanks!

Wow! I really rambled! Maybe I should have started a new thread...

Jen- I love that idea! With the personalized ribbon as the tie or as a bow maybe and then a hook of somesort to actually hang it?

I think it's a marvy idea! I love Xmas ornaments and I know I'd be happy to reminisce about your day as I hung the ornament each year! That wasn't a hint BTW! LOL

Go! Jen! Go!

I think that is a really cute idea! I wouldn't mind having a Christmas ornament from a friends wedding. What a great reminder!

Oh Jen, I think that's a great idea! I love the added touch of a personalized ribbon with the wedding info. Way to go.
