November wedding...
I was going to have chocolate brown for the bridesmaids, but there aren't a lot of dress choices that I like, so they will wear black and I am wearing ivory. Wondering about flowers...I was going to do fall colored flowers, and I guess I still could do ivory, a wine color and what else? Browns and rusts won't work, I don't think, or will they?
thank you!

yes but I'm not fond of those styles...I want the BM's to be able to pick out whatever styles they want...and I love black anyway.

I am pretty sure that Alfred Angelo has mix and match designs.. and they probably come in a chocolate color.

Everything goes with black. If you want to stick with the brown and rust colored flowers with the ivory and wine, feel free. All of those colors will work well together. And, the great thing about the BMs wearing black is that you don't have to worry about the dresses clashing with the flowers!

If you can find flowers in brown and rust colors then they should still work. Especially with the wine. I think that would look really nice.
And welcome to Pash!!!!

Hi and welcome! I'm a November bride myself and am using "nutmeg" (chocolate) for my BM dresses. I found tons of styles from Bill Levkoff, Watters, Jim Hjelm, Dessy and others in varying shades of chocolate and all sorts of different styles. I chose to go with Vera Wang BM dresses, but there were several others I was considering...just in case you still wanted to consider chocolate but hadn't seen all your options...
If not, I agree with the other girls-you have so many options with black! Are you trying to incorporate fall colors into your bouquet or just certain colors to go with your overall color scheme? I really can't imagine anything not going with black, so I think the ideas you have so far sound lovely! Keep us posted!

welcome to pash! i agree w/ all above.... you could do a late summer/fall mix by having sunflowers, but the kind that actually is more of a rusty brown, or terra cotta colored roses.... seriously, even if the flowers have a brown tint to them, they'd still show up against the black of the gowns, so i think it's go w/ whatever you prefer!!

Welcome to Pash!
I'm kind of biased; I had loads of black in my wedding... so I'd vote for the black
It works really well in the wedding photos too, it means all eyes are drawn to the bride in the group shots rather than to bright dresses. Of course brown wouldn't have been too distracting either
I think if you go with the black it will be very easy for each of the girls to find something they like.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
Well I wear a lot of black, as do most of my friends, so black really suits me better...though I still love chocolate brown, black is my final choice. I just wanted to make sure the browns and rusts would mix ok flower wise with black BM dresses, and it sounds like it will.

Welcome to Pash!
I like your color options...! It sounds great the way you've got it planned. A suggestion: Go to Wal-Mart or to another store that have silk flowers, and find flowers in the colors you're thinking. That way, you'll have the fakes on hand to help you decide?
Just an idea...! There is a dark orange-red shade that tends to come out in the autumn, roses I've seen in that color.
