Mauritius, Morocco or Zanzibar;where would you go??.

Hello,

Getting married mid September 2006 in Spain, and are hoping to take our Honeymoon a few weeks after. Looking to book something any day now but have looked at so many places our heads are starting to spin... Mauritius, Zanzibar, the Maldives, Marrakech / Morocco.

As we are getting married in Spain we thought Morocco would be easier to get to but we are not sure that it is the right place for a honeymoon. The country is culturally facinating, but is it the right place for a romantic adventure?

We are looking for a luxury hotel with good service; a relaxing holiday, but with some things to see and do. Which would you go for bearing in mind it will be late September? Where is best? Mauritius, Marrakech, Zanzibar or the Maldives?

Hey there - I would say that Morocco isnt so great for a Honeymoon destination, it is great for all the culture and it is a fascinating place but more back-packer material rather than Honeymoon

If I were you I would go for either the Maldives (sp?) or Mauritius - I havent been to either but they are very popular honemoon destinations over here in Europe and you would get the perfect idyllic Island Honeymoon rest and relaxation that you will be look for on your honeymoon!

I agree with Emily. My fiance was stationed in southern Spain for two years, with Morocco visible across the water and had occasion to go there a number of times for R&R. Great for a bunch of Marines on leave, not so much romantic. I've heard great things about the Maldives though. Let us know what you decide!
