Default iPod

I just started downloading a couple of songs for the iPod. I am using the iTunes program. The first song I bought went right onto my iPod. The 2nd did not until I did all of this clicking when it finally went into the iPod. I have no idea what I did. Now the last song I downloaded I can't get it into the iPod. I don't know how unless it goes in by itself. I can play the song from my iTunes I just don't see it in my recently added in the iPod.

Can anyone help?

Default Welllll....

What kind of iPod do you have...?

Generally, to stop it from playing, you just press the pause button (same as play button). To turn it off, hold that button down and it will shut off automatically.

LOL! I wish I could help you, but my hubby can, here's what he said:

It will take a while, but anything you have in your iTunes library should be ready to load into the iPod as soon as you plug it in. It can take a while unless you have a Fire Wire (makes it go really fast).

duh

That's what I have too. Make sure that you put it on hold (the switch on the top) to make sure that it doesn't turn on when you are not looking.

Sometimes, it seems like mine has a mind of it's own when it chooses to download songs. If you need anything else, just let me know, or apple's website has some really good tips for operations.

I think Apple should go user friendly and include instructions...

OK it looks like I have to close out of iTunes and then go back into it to get the new songs to go onto the iPod. Does that sound right or is there an easier way?

What I usually do is put all of the songs into iTunes at once, and then plug in the iPod, so that everything loads at once. I've never tried it, but the way that you are doing it works just as well.

It's really hard to hurt an iPod, if you mess something up, just turn it off and turn it on again.

Heather is it possible to connet the USB to a firewire cable or port or do I need an adaptor? My iPod only came with a USB cable. I could get the firewire just not sure if I should go USB to firewire or the firewire by itself with an adaptor?

Thanks Jesslynn at least I am doing it right. I will buy the songs all at once now and then plug it in. Seems faster than this one by one thing.

I do love my iPod though. Now I want the speaker dock so I can blast it in my living room!!!

No matter what you do, the songs will always be in iTunes, you can only delete them by going through a lot of steps. I got the speakers, and I love them, it's like being able to move a stero around the house all the time.

I'll check with Mike and let you know. He loves his iPod but I really don't need one so I'm not 100% sure how they work. Send me a PM to remind me because I'm half asleep right now.

Are you using a mac computer or a pc?

I have a mac and mine transfer automatically as soon as I plug in the cord that they gave-no clicking needed. If you have a pc, I have no freaking idea.

I have a Mac too, and updating your iPod is EXTREMELY easy. Just put all the songs you want into your iTunes and then connet the iPod to the computer. It starts going automatically. If you want to delete a song, just delete it from your iTunes, and next time you connect, it will be deleted. That's it. Very simple.
