Default Shower this sunday

Hey everyone, i havent been on the past few weeks, wedding plans are starting to really catch up to us plus i havent had internet from work.

Anywho, down to the good stuff. My FSIL shower is this sunday. Her aunt and sister are hosting it and they have asked me to be the MC for the day and run the games. (which im kinda nervous about because not only do i have to talk in front of a group, but i have to talk in both armenian and english).

But anyways I was wondering if anyone has ideas on the opening remarks? How long would i have to talk for? etc

I don't know how formal this shower is going to be. But, I'd recommend keeping opening remarks to less than 5 min, probably more of a "Glad everyone could come to FSIL's shower...I'm Shaks, FSIL to the bride...If you need anything feel free to just ask me or the hostesses (whom you should introduce)" Maybe include an Order of Service type thing, where you let people know they have 15 min to mingle before the first games, the bride will begin the gift opening @ __:30, and the hors d'oevres will be available throughout on the dining table and in the kitchen.

I didn't have any opening remarks at my shower, just informal introductions for antone who didn't know each other.

I think Lizbet has it covered, but it might be nice to thank her then for having you as her BM and saying something about how much you are enjoying being part of it all.

(unless you aren't )
