Default Another Tux question

When you rent a tux....what is included? I thought it was the jacket, pants, shirt, vest and tie. I guess I was wrong. I signed with a company that told me any tux for $50.00. Well Dad went to get fitted tonight, they gave him a total of $92.00!!!! The package gets you jacket, pants, and shirt. You HAVE to rent shoes and the vest are extra things. I am calling them tomorrow to find out what they are doing. I really think I will be going somewhere else!!!!

Hmmm. I think the total for our guys was around $100 and that included everything, including shoes, fitting, etc. and my husband's was free.

I think it depends on the company you go with. At a bridal show last year, we signed with Men's Wearhouse and get the tuxes for $59 (maybe $52), any tux we want, with everything included. Coat, pants, shirt, tie, vest, shoes....they are getting it all. And FH's is free.

When I got married, the tux shop we used had several options. The "base" price did not include shoes. We could either have gotten the groom's tux rental for free, or everyone's shoe rentals for free. We opted to get the shoe rentals for free.

For $80 per tux, we got:

Pants
Shirt
Vest
Shoes
Jacket
Socks

The shoes would have been an additional $15 per person if we had opted to get the groom's tux rental for free.

Our tux package is $65....I think...and it comes with basic bow tie/cumberbund, wingtip shoes, pants, shirt, and jacket. We opted for a different package with a vest and long tie that costs $25 more.

Our basic package is $75 then another $30 for the shoes, vest, tie. They do have a basic that starts at $45 but we wanted a longer coat the won't ride up over my FH's large bottom, my baby's got back.. lol. I also upgraded the shoes for $5, to a square toe cause several of the guys have wide feet. They also have a basic black package, that includes it all for $50. Oh and Mike's is free.

Our usher and dad tuxes were, I want to say $79. They were just basic tux black and white with black vest and black long tis (not bowtie).

Our groomsmen and Josh's tuxes were $108. The GM had red vests and long ties, and Josh had a gold/beige shade vest and tie.

Shoes were optional. Everyone but my dad got the shoes, he wore the same black shoes that he got married in.

We bought DH's at JcPenney's during one of the mega-sales that they have. It was $99, including shoes, shirt, jacket, cumberbund and pants.

I managed a Tux store for 6 years. Most tuxedo companies will include jacket, pants, shirt, standard studs, bow tie and cummberbund. (mind you it's been over 10 years since I've been in the business )

Vest were always extra as were shoes. We did include socks with our shoe rentals and there is a big trend to doing that.

We charged extra for an upgrade to the studs too... like gold trim vs silver.

Most shops will offer some kind of discount package if you qualify. Ours was rent 6 get the 7th (grooms) free.

First... Hi Bob!

Second... everytime I've had a guy rent a tux, the vest and shoes were extra. This was because they had different styles of each and each style was a different price to rent.
