My name is Maran. I am 22 and I live in WA. My FH and I have two cats, who are like our kids right now. I am currently halfway through a year long Masters of Arts in Teaching program. I start student teaching kindergarten in a month, and I am so excited about it! I hope to get a job teaching kindergarten next year, but 1st or 2nd grade would be fine too. I graduated from the University of Puget Sound in May 2005 with a BA in Politics & Government. I coach volleyball at a local high school in the fall and manage apartments on the side. In my free time, I read a ton of books, spend time in the sun or on the beach, do crafts and scrapbooking, play volleyball and watch sports.

I met FH in 2001 and we have been dating in 2002. We got engaged in April of 2005 and our wedding date is August 12, 2006. He is two years older than me and he is a full time accountant. He is also working on his MBA and plays electric guitar in a local band.

FH and I had been talking about getting married for a while before we got engaged. We looked at rings for a couple months, but he really really wanted to surprise me. We had ended up buying a center diamond a couple months before I got my ring. I knew he had bought it, but he had our jeweler call on day and say that FH hadn't been into the store in about a month and he needed to come in. I was so disappointed, because I thought that he was going to propose soon. It had just been my birthday and my college graduation was a couple weeks after that.

He did propose that night...he just asked me. We had planned to go to dinner already, and decided to eat at a nice restaurant and get dressed up. He knew I didn't want to be asked at a restaurant, because I hate being the center of attention. He simply asked me at home. It was very simple and special and romantic...I knew he was totally ready to get married and that was really important in that moment.

FH and I are total opposites on the outside. We listen to different music, watch different TV shows, have different political views, etc. But we've discovered that our dreams, goals, and plans are in sync and are heading in the same direction, which is what really matters. We've compromised on the surface things, such as music and TV shows.

I hate writing these things...I can't think of anything else to write.

Wow! FH and I are very similar when it comes to all of these things. The only thing we don't really see eye-to-eye on is watching sports, LoL!!! I enjoy watching local sports, he'll watch any football/baseball/hockey/sometimes basketball game that might be on. The sports channels here are 27,28, & 29 on cable -- when we're flicking through the stations and I'm in control of the remote, I flick past them really fast and hope he doesn't notice, LoL!!!

It always amazes me how people just know they are in sync with another person. Like... FH and I are soooo silly when we're together and I always think, "Wow, if I acted like this with any other guy, he'd probably think I was nuts." But, FH is just as silly and we have so much fun together. It just makes me smile when people just know they click.

We are so silly together too! We have our own little world with private jokes, games, words, etc....I think even if other people saw the total extent of it, they would think we are crazy!

I told FH last night that it was good we were getting married cause we know the rest of any joke the other one is going to play before it even happens and we do something to stop it.

Doesn't it feel great to be that in sync with someone though?
