What kinds of flowers are traditionally used in a grecian wedding? You could carry a cascading boquet (right words?) of those...?

Do you have a photo of the dress? or a link to it?
That might help us get inspired...
What springs to my mind is something simply coloured (maybe just creams/ white) with trailing vine leaves & maybe some berries....

I was thinking lots of cascading greens too. It would be a beautiful contrast to the dress.
If you can find a pic, please post it.
Welcome to Pash!

I kind of imagine a bouquet that relies heavily on greens with just a few little purple wildflowers...something really simple and natural. And I think a crown of little flowers would be lovely, as well.
Here is a pic of the kind of flowers I'm imagining:
Welcome to Pash and let us know what you decide! Congratulations on your engagement!

Gwen, is the photo on your PC? If so, if you go to www.photobucket.com and create an account, you will be able to have it on the web.
After you sign up, click on My Album.
At the top, there will be a button that says Choose File.
You click that and it will let you go through your computer to find the photo you want.
Then, select it and click Submit.
It will show up in your new album with three lines of code underneath it. Copy the one that has [IMG] in front of it and paste it in here. Then we will be able to see the pic!
Hope this helps.
ETA: I forgot we had that sticky, Ann!

This is probably incredibly silly but all of a sudden I'm imagining the wedding dress, with some ivy draped around it...

Something with Grapeleaves since those are a staple in Greece. I love CW's idea of a ring of flowers in your hair too.

I'm killing myself laughing still at the "Jug on the shoulder" image!!
So it's a one shouldered dress, kind of softly draping..I can see it...
I think it'll depend somewhat on you- are you a petite lady or of larger stature?
I'm seeing an "up-do" with some braiding...and like CW said...flowers entwined in there....
I see white or cream Calla lilies....simple, clean lines....
I'm sounding like Gypsy Claire aren't I?! LMAO

I did my hair in a rennaissance-type halo braid. I wish I had a pic on my work computer to show you. I'll try to remember to post one when I get home. But, I don't usually check-in over the weekend, so I'm not sure I'll remember.
If I don't remember by Tuesday, and you want to see it, send me a PM.
I also think the idea of the flowing greens is wonderful. I used a lot of English Ivy (the small-leaved ivy) in my arangements. Breezy had a great idea with the grape leaves.
ETA: Here is a not very good pic of my BM's hair and mine. I'll still try to post a better pic later.
