Shower Tomorrow
Well, Sunday, 'cause it's almost midnight here, so technically that'd make it today. :-D I'm excited, but at the same time I'm exhaused because I've done nothing but clean and mow all day. And my desk is still covered...is it wrong to throw everthing in a box for now? $20 says that's what I end up doing to it in the morning.
And to boot, my mom paid absolutely no attention to the game list I gave her and instead came up with some silly nilly game that I really do not want to play. (Especially since we'll be outside and my neighbors can see. ) But I'm sure I'll have fun anyhow.
I'll be sure to post the happenings tomorrow!

Have a good time! After it's all said and done, what games you play won't really matter, IMO. Make sure you post pics!!

The shower was fine. Short, but fine. The games were okay, not everyone did the relay thing, but they enjoyed laughing. The other game was a "how well do you know the bride?" questionnaire. I also got to show off my house and see some relatives/friends I haven't seen in awhile. So that was cool.
I got lots of useful things too. Corningware, Pyrex, spatulas out the butt...but you can never have too many of those, lol. Mom got me one of those towel cakes with kitchen stuff in it, and a smaller one that had some bathroom stuff in it (which doesn't smell anything like white chocolate ) Oh! And I got my first piece of crystal-a friend of mine bought me a really pretty bowl. I only have one thing that I'm going to return, but only b/c it's a duplicate of all the spoons/spatulas that I got. We ended up wtih two sets of cookie sheets, but FH said to keep them both and we'll use one set for everyday-type stuff and save the other (professional set) for special occasions and such.
I'll post pics as soon as I get the roll done! (Yes, I still have a film loading camera, lol.) I've got 11 pictures left on it...so hopefully it won't take long. Or I'll have mom email me some she took.

I'm glad it was fun!! At least you got to see some people you hadn't seen in a while and you got some great presents!
Why was it short? Were you expecting it to be a lot longer?

Question: am I supposed to wait until after the wedding to use any shower gifts? Just curious- I don't want to mention using it in the thank you notes and stick my foot in my mouth.

IMO, you can start using them right away. I've never heard of any etiquette on this one.

I've got a wee question.
We don't do those cakes over here but I think they'd make a better gift than just a bale of towels, so how do you get them to hold together???
Wouldn't the top layer just fall off when you were carrying it? Or do you roll it inside the bottom layer?
