Ready to kill tux place
So I went to the tuxedo place today, to make sure they had all my colors for the wedding. Here is the style of the vest (ignore this color, just look at the style)
That is what I want. The design kind of looks like leaves. So she was picking the colors out, and when they got to a color they did not have in that style, she pointed to this style (one again just look at style)
That is a plain vest!! She thought we could have some guys in style #1 then some in style #2. Is it just me...or is that just crazy!!!!

I think that would look odd. I would want all the vests looking the same/having the same pattern.

That is crazy. All the GM should have the same vest. What a ding-dong. I hope you get it fixed.
I'll share my horrible tux story. It was my senior prom. I had a friend coming in from out of town as my date. I took care of ordering his tux, all he had to do was send his measurements... which he did. The day before prom we went to the tux place to pick up his tux. THEY DIDN'T HAVE IT! They had lost the order for the tux!!! Luckily we were able to get him something, though. I think he ended up wearing one of the samples that they have people try on. I was FURIOUS!

I would too - same style, same vest, etc. But I'm confused - do you want the leaf pattern and that's the issue? The style (besides the leaf pattern) looks the same to me. I'm not seeing a big difference besides the bow tie and straight tie.

I would just let them know! you find all the colors I need in the leaf vest like I want or I'll have to find another place.

Yes, I want the leave pattern on them. I think it goes better with the wedding. Even with the other vest, they dont have all the colors. When I signed with them, they told me they have all the colors and if they dont have them, they will find them and get it in for me.

This is what would pi$$ me off....the fact that they said they COULD get the colors you want, and now they can't/won't.
That sucks!!!

We had so much trouble with our tux place. They messed up our order several times, DH had to go in over and over and change the order and straighten things out. Then when my nephew Ryan paid for his, they applied it towards the GM Ryan's bill so my nephew looked like he still owed. It was a nightmare. Justin had to keep me out of there b/c I was ready to go BRIDEZILLA on that place! Luckily for me...my MIL went to bat for me...but unfortunately for DH...she embarrased him

From stories I have heard it seems that tux places just "don't get it."

It isn't just tux places. Other merchants will also assure you that they can get whatever you want, then after they have your deposit (usually non-refundable), they explain that it just isn't possible to get what you want.
I recently had a florist do that, so we took what they could provide and called a second florist to provide what the first one was unwilling or unable to provide. Once they know that they are going to lose some or all of your business they can often find a solution.

Don't they realize that "SOMETHING ELSE" just won't do sometimes. Don't tell us "don't worry, we'll figure it out..." Actions speak louder than words vendor-folk.
Anyway, sorry you are having difficulties..I hope everything eventually works out!!
