Default Tulle at the ceremony

I didn't know where to post this so I'm putting it here. Feel free to move it if necessary. I have a question (I've never been to a wedding that had it so it might seem like a silly question, but you don't know til you ask...) at wedding ceremonies where they have the tulle or organza drapped from pew to pew or chair to chair (blocking access to the seats) how do you remove it to let guests into the pews or do you have them go in on the other end? I believe LJ had it in her pics and I'd like to do something very similar but I was curious how people entered the pews without damaging the "look" of the tulle. Like I said it might be a dumb question but I've never been to a wedding that had the pews drapped and would like to know how this works. Thanks.

I would think that people enter from the other end of the pews. That is what I'm having my guests do, as I'm having the draped fabric you are referring to and LJ had at her wedding. I'm not putting the draped fabric the entire length of the aisle; I'm only stringing it along the first half of the pews, since that is about all that will be filled with people.

No questions is a dumb question, so keep on asking!

If for some reason people CAN'T enter from the other side of the pews, I believe some people do set the swags up so they can be removed easily to allow people in and out, and replaced without too much fuss.

I started the tulle on the 2nd pew so my mother and father could be seated with out any problems. You would have a lot of problems if you would try to fix it to where people could be seated on the inside. What I did was held my organza up by the pew clips. I didn't want to cut each piece if I would of I would my user would of had to take each pew clip off every time he seated someone. I had all my guest be seated from the out side.

Thanks for the input, I was originally going to go with just pew bows but I really like the look of the draped fabric so I very well might do that. I just didn't understand how I would make it work without everything falling apart while the guests were seated. Thanks

I'm sure you could figure out something if u want them seated on the inside. I'm not sure how u could do it. I know I didn't have any problems with every one being seated on the outside but it wasn't to narrow.

I've only seen one wedding done up that - and we all had to go in from the other end.

Sometimes people do that to keep guests from walking on the runner before the wedding party. And yes, you would enter from the opposite end of the rows.

Keep those questions coming! I had so many questions when I was planning. I don't know how one becomes a bride and is supposed to just know all of this stuff. That's why these boards are great!

I had tulle draped between the pews, a bow on each pew that was made of satin and mostly tulle, and I also had rose petals inside the tulle. (It looked pretty. ) Anyhow, we did use pew/bow clips and the guests did not go down the center aisle. The entered from the other end and they just filled in the entire pew; that is, they still were able to sit at that end. They just walked all the way down the pew. Our church actually did not want anyone not in the wedding party to go down the center aisle. Also, the tulle was started after the parents rows so that the parents did not have to go around to be seated. Hope this helps.
