Default help with color

I need help deciding what color sachel to get for favors. I was hoping for some opinions. My dress is ivory. The BM dresses are chocolate brown. But - the reception has white linens on the table and they use their own old old china for the place settings (which is beautiful) but it's white and blue. The flowers on the table are daisys by themselves in a glass vase and white tealights in glass holders.

I want to put a sachel of candy on each plate for guests but I don't know what color to choose. Do I go with white to match the tablecloths and plates or do I pick a color that matches the wedding colors like brown or ivory. Maybe I should pick an off color??? I can't decide.

My favorites are:
Light pink - the flower girl dress has pink in it.
Ivory - does not match the table
toffee ?? who knows
moss green - would match the flower stems

Please help!!

I like the green as a little splash of color.

Pink is nice too.

I guess I'm not much help.

Did you consider doing them all different colors? A little of each color, white, pink, green, toffee....might just tie everything in....who knows? I guess I'm not much help either. Well, maybe I would just go by the BP colors.....hmmmm....good question.

I don't think it's necessary that every little detail coordinate. It's one of those things that'll stress you out if you let it. It sounds like a lot of color when you say ivory, chocolate, white, colors in a daisy, blue china, etc.

I would let the tables set a theme for themselves. The white cloth, the daisies and the china sound very nice together. I'd keep the wedding colors as their own theme. People will "get it" I think.

So I think your favors should jive well with the table settings. I'd go with either the light pink or the moss green.

What about going with brown?

It won't clash with the china or the color of the tableclothes, and it won't clash with your dress or the BM dresses. In fact, you could do shades of brown...not as light as ivory, since that won't match the white of the dishes, but khaki, toffee, coffee, chocolate, etc.

I am trying to think if I'd ever walk into a wedding reception and say "Damn fools, they didn't even match the favor sachets to the BM's dresses. What morons." And the answer is HELL NO!!! Go with what you like best.

I think I'd go with brown. Brown is a neutral so it would go with the table arrangement and since your BM dresses are brown it would tie that in as well. If you don't go with brown, my second choice would be moss green.

Thanks everyone. I think that I am going to go with the moss green. The brown is way lighter than the BM dresses, they are a really dark brown. I think the green will tie in nicely.

I just wanted to tell you that your decor sounds absolutely beautiful. Very simple and elegant.

The moss green will look great.

Default I would go with Moss Green favor bags

I love the idea of picking up the flower stems with a Moss Green, but use it for the favor bags (Dark against the light color of the table cloths). I would the get custom printed ribbon, Yellow to accent the flowers with either a chocolate script or pattern to pick up the Brides Maid Dresses. I found a site that has been around for years, www.bridal-land.com that has a great selection of imprinted ribbons.

Just a thought, enjoy your day !!!!

They are actually about a whole shade lighter. The picture just makes them look darker.

Thanks!!
