Default Buying Jewelry on an Auction Site

Hello I am new here, so I know I can't post any names. Anyway, I was looking at purchasing my jewelry for my bridal party from an online auction site, but I have never purchased anything before. Anyway, do you think it is safe? I am worried I will never get it or something. Help!!!! Staceylyn

Depends on the site. Check the reliability if posted. A lot of the eBay stores are very reputable. I bought from Earthstones (beautiful peridot, aquamarine and pearl hand made chandelier earrings) and from FayeCullen (estate jewelry).

I believe ljeagle is the resident eBay expert. Maybe she'll pop in this thread and give some advice but it sounds like the seller has a good history so you should be fine. I've gotten lots of things from eBay with nothing but happy experiences.

I would definitely stick with merchants that have high approval ratings and have sold a lot of items. You can also read their negative feedback. I would check out to see what the negative comment was.

Good luck!

This person has no negative feedback. So that is good right? I am a total eBay virgin so it's sort of weird. I am just afraid I will buy something and never get it for some reason. Would anyone be willing to check it for me? I know I can't post the name here or else I would be advertising right?

You can use the Private Message feature to send a message to a single member instead of posting it on the open board. The link to get to your PMs is in the upper right corner of the screen under your name (where it says "Welcome, staceylynn.")

ETA: I've never bought off eBay, either, so I can't help you with that. LOL

I just checked out her feedback. She looks like a reputable merchant to do business with.

If her feed back is 100% good and you like what she has then go for it. I love ebay and buy a lot off there and I even sale some. A - feedback don't always mean the person is not a honest person. I have 1- feedback it is because I left - feedback for them cause they sold me a sample of perfume and it wasn't not listed as a sample. The pack even said Not for sale! I ended up paying $15 for a sample of a new tommy about 3 years ago. Just look over her feed back and if it's good then go for it. Just keep in mind you are getting what u pay for! If you are paying $10 for a a necklace don't expect that you are getting something worth $100.

That is bizarre. We just ahd a toothfairy1649 join Pash...

Actually, she said she makes jewellery, so why don't you send her a PM?

ETA
: I use ebay all the time, I buy far more off there than I should, and I order from the US site sometimes.

I've never had any problems...
Well, just one daft one, but that was because of a really unclear photo & it was only a couple of £...

I'd give it a go. It gets adictive though

The next coincidence is the "Lynn" in their names and the fact that they both sign off with their names after each post. Kinda funny right?
