My name is Stephanie and I am 21 years old. I was raised by my mom and dad until he passed away in October 1997. He passed away due to a blood clot in his leg. In October of 1998 my mom started dating my former stepdad and they were married in June of 1999. He was killed in a car accident in 2003 only months after I graduated. Now I have a new stepdad. My mom and Cliff were married in October of this year.

I have a brother and a sister, who are both older than me. And then I also have 4 step sisters, all younger. 2 older stepbrothers and 1 younger stepbrother. Needless to say our family holidays are pretty wild. I was raised in the panhadles of Texas and Oklahoma all my life.

So now on to Matt and I. Matt and I met while i was working at a bar waitressing and he was a police officer of the same town. Matt and the other officers were often called to the bar for fights and they would also just walk through to make sure everything was ok. Matt and I also had many mutal friends but never thought of getting together. Until one night when Matt decided to come to the bar to drink. He wound up getting trashed and decided to ask me out. At first I turned him down cuz he was drunk. After weeks of turning him down I finally told him I would go on one date with him.
The date consisting of him bringing me dinner and just talking. We agreed to go on another date and the rest is history.

Matts proposal was great. Matt and I moved in together when he got his new job working as a Sheriff's Deputy in his home county. One night we went to a bonfire with all of the officers. We had a huge cookout and fireworks. After everyone left Matt and I were heading home and he drove us to his favorite spot, which overlooks a lake, and just cuddled up beside me and slide the ring on my finger. I turned on the light to look at what he had put on my finger and he asked me to marry him. I was in shock but i was still able to say yes. He asked me on October 25. Which is cool cuz his birthday is October 27 and mine is October 30. So we were engaged right before we celebrated our birthdays with our parents. So it was easy to tell our parents cuz we had already planned to spend our b-days at each others parents.

Now we are planning the wedding for March 25. The wedding colors are dark purple, silver, and white. I am wearing my FMIL's dress. And his family is making all the bms dresses. The day is getting closer and Im getting really excited.

Wow, things have been hard for you and your family. I can't even imagine what your poor mom has been through. I'm glad she was able to find your new step dad, I hope things go much better for her now. Are all your step-siblings from Cliff or your other step dad or both? That makes for a very big family!!! The holidays must be insane!
Have you posted a pic of your wedding dress yet? If not, we'd all love to see it!

They are from both. Cliff has 3 kids, two of the younger girls and the younger boy. The others are from my former stepdad. Still we see all of them at holidays and it is insane.
