Inviting my students

I am a first grade teacher getting married in June. My fiance proposed to me in my classroom in front of all my students. I want to print them a special invitation to the wedding with a rhyme. I'm having a hard time coming up with anything. I just want it to say something like "...you were there for the beginning...now come see the fairy tale ending..." (My fiance told a story about a prince and a princess...us being the characters...to my students in order to get to the proposal. Can anyone help me?

Well....beginning is a hard word to rhyme.

How about something like:

You were there from the start
And are close to our hearts.

We'd love you to see the ending,
So please plan on attending!

(I don't know if you really want to talk about the 'ending' without mentioning the fairy tale part, but I couldn't really fit it in.)

There are a lot of great writers on here, so I'm sure someone can come up with something!

That's great you are inviting your students. When I was in first grade our teacher invited the whole class to her wedding and I thought it was the coolest thing. I still remember it to this day.

Awww how cute - the kids are going to have a great time I bet!! I do not have any creativity oozing out of me now, what the other girls wrote looks great though!! if anything pops into my head I will absolutely let you know!! Congrats!!
