Hello...again
So I have been a 'lurker' here on Pash ever since it has switched over from Bliss, but I guess I have technically been a member for quite some time. I haven't had anything really to post about (originally joined for wediquette on friends weddings), but I have enjoyed learning and reading the posts. I saw one the other day that mentioned something to the effect that we know you are out there, which I always knew, so figured I would finally post!
I got engaged on March 16th to my high school sweetheart of 10 years. It was totally random and I was very much surprised (I LOVE surprises!)
The short of the story is this: It was a Thursday night and I was out with a friend having some munchies and drinks. I got home and was standing in the kitchen opening the mail. I had, for whatever reason (I have never done this before) asked my FH to take my boots off for me. As I continued to open the mail, I turned around and low and behold he was on one knee. I was excited, thinking, WOW, he's really going to take my boots off, sweet! So I put my leg out for him to unzip my boots, and he pulls out a ring and asks me to marry him! I was SHOCKED to say the least! I couldn't believe what was going on and it actually took me a while {Are you serious?? Are you kidding?? What is going on??? I'm not understanding the words that are coming out of your mouth!} to say "Of course I will marry you!"
It's been a long time coming, I had been anti-marriage for a long time (that changed about a year ago) and this is just perfect!
I put my thread here, because we are leaning towards it being a September 2007 celebration, but we have zero definite plans. If it needs to be moved, feel free to do so!
Have to get back to work, but just wanted to give you a quick intro. Be back soon, I'm sure!
