I need help
Ok I know I still have a ton of time but I am a planner and in order to continue to researching and planning I need to pick the colors. We have chosen silver and black but we want a third color. My FH has simply asked for no pastels (dang) that’s where I need your help because I’m torn between burgundy and blue. I think burgundy would look nice with black and silver plus the centerpieces provided by the reception hall are red roses in a silver vase. On the other hand, my FH and I tend to be partial to blue (we have more blue clothes and such) and I think silver and blue are regal.
We are going to have a evening wedding in November with the attire being dress to impress or nice casual to semi-formal. I would appreciate your opinion bc I don’t have friends that are girls and I’m trying to keep my mom out of the planning as much a possible. So I think of all of you girls as my honoree BM’s. I am open to other ideas here are some pictures to let you see where we will be getting hitched.

Reception table and cake. The cake can have any flowers.

Your location is beautiful!!
I vote for burgandy. Either would be pretty but I think that the center pieces would go better and it just feels like a burgandy to me. Besides, if you do blue all the time, it could be fun to do something a little different.

I vote for burgundy. It's a warmer color and will go very well and give you a more cohesive look with the other items you will be using. Blue would be pretty too, I just think the burgundy would be more complimentary. I think when you get more into sliver and blue, that has a winter feeling to it. My 2 cents!

I like burgundy
Wow, that place is GORGEOUS!! Personally, I agree with taking advantage of the FREE flowers!! I think that alone would sway me to go with burgundy! Also, I agree that burgundy seems more cozy for fall, and blue and silver reads winter to me.

You could use both! Use the centerpeices they provide, but then throw in other touches of blue other places; maybe scatter some blue rose petals at the base of the vases or use blue linens.

I was thinking the same as CupieJen. I think it would look really pretty if you used both. It would be a little more work, because you would have to make sure you were using a burgandy and blue that worked together, but the result would be beautiful. I think you should definitly use the free center pieces, but i'm partial to blue. So that's where I get my opinion from .

I would go with red. I'm biased because those were my colors - black, silver/white and red. I loved everything... especially if you're having the red roses - everything else will match nicely.

YAY for being an honoree BM
I vote for red or burgandy. I would definately take advantage of the centerpieces being red. And I agree with everyone else as far as blue seeming more winterish.

I vote for blue, but I'm biased because blue, black and silver are my colours also. However, I say use the free centrepieces, but do other things with blue.

I like burgundy. It seems like the reception site lends itself to burgundy. That's more fall-ish and warmer, too. But I think navy would be lovely as well.

Well I'm biased because blue is my favorite color, but I also happen to think that black, silver, and blue just looks very elegant together.

I think navy or midnight blue would look great at this site
I can see why everyone is suggesting burgundy, but I really think that if you like DARK blue (navy or midnight), it would coordinate nicely at the site you're using. I don't think it would clash with the flowers that are already there.

Hi everyone. Thanks for all the input. The majority seem to be leaning towards Burgundy. I told my FH that it seemed you all where pro burgundy and he seemed surprised he was heading off to work so I didn’t have a chance to ask him why. It was more like “burgundy… really …..o.k. that’s cool.” I have a feeling may be reading too much into this bc I’m PMSing . But I’ll let you know what that was all about.
