Michaels
Since most of us are DIY at least some parts of our weddings, I'm sure some of us have used Michaels for our craft supplies. I was wondering a couple things. Is their coupon that comes out on Sunday only worth 40% off one item? Or your total purchase? I don't get the paper or the coupons, so I'm wondering if they are worth collecting from FMIL.
Also, have any of you run into the problem of them not having enough of what you need? Do they restock and let you know when the items are in, or do you have to keep checking back? I'm just worried if I buy reception decorations from there, they may not have enough and I'll have to search other places and may not be able to find enough of what I need. I'm just debating the cost v. buying the decorations off an online craft store that would be slightly more for shipping, but I would know for sure how much of everything I can get.

The coupons are for one thing only and it has to be regular price. They do restock but u have to keep checking back most of the time. I have never had them call me back. But different stores do different things. I think u can only use one coupon at a time but I'm not 100% sure of that.

Do you think I could get a lot of money from selling my cylinder vases on Ebay after the wedding?

The coupons are usually only good for one item. Occasionally they offer a % of your entire purchase of regular price items. (like last week... but it was only good for 1 day and a few hours)

Those coupons were only for one item.
And if they didn't have what we wanted, I think we just ran off to a similar type of store and checked there, or we'd be back in a few days.

I have been using Michael's and Joann's. One thing that impressed me about Michael's is that I found a tiara there I absolutely loved, but they were out of stock so they called another store for me (they suggested to me, I did not ask them) and located and the other store held it up front for me.
As for the coupons ..... they are for one regular stock item and you can only use one per purchase. I would definitely take advantage of using them,. though. Every little bit helps.

FYI - if you go into the stores on Sunday - late into the evening, some of them are planning on throwin gout most of the Sunday papers, ask them if you can just take the coupons out of a few. Get an extra 5 of them each week.
Also, encourage your friends to help you out. Even ones that you don't see too much. My Aunt sends me 3 each week (hers & 2 of her neighbors). It costs her .37cents to mail & I save usually $4- $6 depending on the item. Its great!!

I would use one coupon per week. The catch was that the item could not be on sale. Also, if one Michaels was out, I would visit another.
I don't know if there is a Hobby Lobby in your area, but I like this store even more than Michaels. They carry a great deal of items that are wedding related. I got some really great deals there.
