This is sort of what I wanted... But when I went for my last hair trial I asked my hairdresser to trim my hair. It is now the shortest it has been in 7 yrs WTF am I supposed to do with my hair now??? If I do it like this photo the front will now sit at my jaw. It just sits at my collar bone now.

you can always use an extension. The easiest ones are ponytails, and that style definitely started as a ponytail.

Obviously I did something wrong. Something went awry.

Kenzies mama, are you going to use the pearls or another color bead, like green or gold?

This is how I think I want my hair -- a messy, wavy updo, nothing too fussy, with some peices coming down in the front.

Smile I think I might have found one I like...

As most of you know I've been struggling with my hair... I've had 3 hair trials and although they've all been OK ish, they haven't felt like me...

I've been toying with the idea of doing my own hair. I can generally do quite a lot with it myself, so I wasn't worried about that. I was just a bit put off by all the reactions I've had when I've said I was going to do my hair!

I've been messing with it for days now, and I settled on a kind of Gothic inspired 'do' to go with the cloak. Nothing over the top, just tied back (so you can't see how short it is now ) and twisted.

Well tonight I think I came up with a winner I only got a couple of photos before the battery died in my camera, but it'll give you an idea what I'm going to do even if it isn't the final version...

It'll be curled at the back and pinned loosely into a knot.
(BTW my hair needs washed coz I've been messing with it for hours )

I got my crown in the mail yesterday! I had a lady I know make it for me and I'm going to wear it and then have my hair curly inside. Here is my at home attempt at what I was thinking (don't mind the scary look, I was trying to take my own picture and the camera wasn't working with me).

And then I want something like this idea inside but not on the top of my head like she has it.

Or something like CW posted...

I was a bit worried that it looked too much like a french braid, it's actually twisted with two pieces of hair; if you do it with a length of hair (without adding any in) it lookes like a piece of rope. But in that photo it looks more like a french briad. Maybe I should try it with largr sections... I think I've got a photo somewhere of what I was thinking off... I'll have a hunt & scan it in...

I can't find the original photo but it's a similar idea to this (just a little simpler):

If you look closely at the strands that drape down in this style you'll see the rope effect I meant...

You ladies posted some great hairstyles. I have very long hair, but I love the back of my dress, so I've been going back and forth with having my hair all up with curls (although my hair is VERY straight), or going with a half up half down style (like the ones posted). I'm just nervous that it will take away from the back of the dress??

I'm lucky I can brush my hair and blow dry it relatively well each day...I canNOT braid it or attempt to do anything even remotely acceptable for a wedding hairdo...you girls do such a great job!! Ann, I love the hair hun...I want to see more pics!!

CW - that hair is very nice...I think it'd look great on you...and Wembley, I LOVE the crown!!
