searching for
One of my bestest friends is getting married. He lives in Montana and she lives in North Dakota were they will be living.
They are getting married in Vegas
He wants to surprise her with a cake and wants a topper that sybolizes both of their lives. She is a farmer (crop not animal) and he works the oil rigs.
His idea is to have a cake topper with daisy duke and a guy with a hard hat. (???, it's his wedding) I thought this would be easy to find seperates and then make the topper... not!!!
It's a small wedding, so I think Barbie and Ken are too big for the cake. Can't go the custom route because they are getting married in less than 2 months!
I can't find mini hard hats anywhere.
I'd love to make him a bout. like this with a hard hat
any ideas???

Try looking at a toy store for a Bob the Builder with a removable hard hat.

I see if I can hunt something up on ebay. But I'm thinking maybe the brat dolls of course you would have to change the cloth.

Wounder if u could find a little hard hat that you could use as a base for the bride and groom.

I searched high and low, checked all our toy stores locally... no small Bob the Builder stuff. No small BTB stuff on ebay.... was getting frustrated.
Then fate stepped in and lead the way. (((YEAH)))
I found the bride on ebay. I will put a little veil on her (I think) and found a singular (not attached to a bride) groom at dollar tree. Things started looking up. Especially since they both had little kid qualities to them. They were a good match... .now the hunt was on for a hard hat.
I stumbled upon an antenna ball on ebay (for an atrocious price, but that's what friend do) and snatched it up. It came yesterday and is perfect. I detached the hard hat and am going to glue it to the groom and wallaaah (more crummy pictures)
it feels like such a HUGE accomplishment, I just had to share

I agree with H. They are ever so cute
But what is an antenna ball? (has it anything to do with the antenna you use for your tv???)

It's something you put on the antenna of your car as a decoration. I think.

Western themed wedding!
A long long time ago in a land far far away I actually was engaged to someone else! Anyhoo, he was a rancher and I was a wanna be cowgirl. So, for our wedding I ordered like 100 little baby hay bales. (Is that even how you spell that?) We had little lasso's hanging over one side and a little cowboy hat sitting on the other side. Then there was a little tin bucket that held the flowers. Really cute.
In a nutshell I didn't end up marring the cowboy from Beaver City, Nebraska I married a dentist instead! Lynnie
