Doctor'S APPOINTMENT - The PASH Wedding Forums and Message Boards

I don't think I mentioned this on here already... a couple of weeks ago I went to my GYN b/c my FH and I decided that we are going to try to have one more child immediatly after we get married. So I wanted to talk about - should I take any vitamins...stay off the pill until then (minding you that we had no idea when the wedding would be at that time).
He did an internal and noticed that the endometrial lining is inflammed - he did a repeat PAP and scheduled me to come into his office today to have an internal sonogram done. Based on the results of this, we'll see what has to be done next, if anything. The good side of it is this...I was 12 hours away from getting my period when I had the exam, so it could've just been inflammed b/c it was that time of the month. If that isn't the case then I suppose there is a handful of reasons why it could've been inflammed.

More than anything I just don't want to have other tests and the waiting period to find out if everything is ok...I just want to know NOW. And the next major concern...if he thinks there is something to this and wants to do a laporascopy (sp) and they find that it is endometriosis - ugh, b/c that is a leading cause of infertility in women. And I know I already have 2, I am blessed...but I will be absolutely devastated if FH and I will not be able to have one.

This was 1/2 random vent & 1/2 Health vent. I hope I put it in the right place. Sorry guys, my appointment is at 11:30 EST and I just am starting to get concerned. Thanks for letting me get it out. EVerything will be ok, right y'all???

Well - found nothing out - the woman who did the sonogram told me that my endometrial lining is 1cm - ummm, is that good or bed? Any answers?? SHe didn't know & my Dr isn't in until Monday. GREAT!

Thanks guys. I know everything will be ok!! I just hate the waiting. I wonder why there is no GYN in my family who can tell me what it means to have an endometrial lining measuring 1 cm.

Aww, I'm so sorry you're going through this... I've all the fun procedures done too - freezing the stuff up and everything. Waiting for results is not a fun thing to have to do.

When you find something out, let me know and if you would like, I'll tell you what I went through. Some of it may seem very daunting - but to know, to really know that everything is okay is an amazing feeling.

Usually the people who do the sonograms aren't allowed to tell you their opinions. They're not supposed to interpret anything - it has to be done by the doctor. The only thing the person said to me was that my left ovary looked like Jerry Garcia on the screen.

(It was probably all the drugs I did in my teens & early twenties.

Well - I called the Dr... he isn't in until 10am EST - so I have a few more minutes before he gets in - and they said they'll make sure he calls as soon as possible to give me the results. I'll post a message as soon as I know. I'm so happy to have you guys - it helps so much, all of this extra support!!

Thanks for checking in with me... I HAVE HEARD NOTHING - the Dr's office said (the third time I called back) that the Dr. hasn't even reviewed it yet but he'll definitely call tomorrow. I NEED BLOOD PRESSURE MEDS WAITING FOR THIS NONSENSE!!
