Bridal shower

Hey everyone--

I just got home from my shower.... bridal shower that is. Wow let me tell you... i have got some KICK ASS friends. I am so amazingly lucky... i truly am.

Among the guests were friends from work, michaels mom and grandmother, my moms best friend and her daughter (who i used to babysit and is now a babysitter herself), my SIXTH grade science teacher who i still keep in contact with, and my mom showed up.

Now some of you might remember the drama my mom has put me through. Well, she had me read a card outloud that explained the story behind two bowls that had once been a set of 6. They came from Russia with my great grandmother and were a present from my great great grandmother on her wedding day. My mom got them from my grandmother at her shower.... and she gave them to me. Wow... the tears were all over the place before i even got through the card since i knew what would be in the box.

Also, i had to trade in my diamond earrings to be able to afford my wedding band and michaels wedding band....my very last gift i opened were diamond earrings from my mom to replace those i had given up. Maybe shes not so bad after all

It was a beautiful day. Like i said, i have got two very special very great friends (danielle is one of them!) who just made this day so special.

Yeah i had to have the shower since im moving in a month and all of my friends are here.

and breezy, mom is NOT coming around... she was behaved and since im the daughter it was time to pass down the bowls. it was a beautiful moment since i wasnt expecting thme but this is not the end of our long standing feud by any means lol

Oh, I was just going to give big hugs to you and your mom--but then it sounds like you think she's still evil! LOL! Well, it was really nice of her to give you the bowls and the diamond earrings.

If nothing else, she came around for the day at least. What more can you ask for...one feudless day is nice every once in awhile. I'm so excited that you had such a great time!!!
