I have done it twice. My results were really good although, it was a little embarrassing to stand there in my underwear to get sprayed.

I've used gels. I have a spray that didn't come out as even as the gels do. And I'm going to try the professional spray tan this summer

Just to clarify: I got sprayed at a salon. I DID NOT attempt to do it myself. LOL I would probably end up looking like the monster guy from fantastic four.

To clarify, I was asking about professional spray tans.
Widdle, does it stain your undergarments?
How long does it last?
Does each application make you darker, or just maintain?
Can you see results with the 1st application?
Crush, I'm going to try this summer too, I just want to be prepared for what to expect so I don't go in to late or early to get the results I want.
Tanning beds aren't good for me, I end up looking like a zebra with stripes Not exactly the look I want on my wedding day.

Widdle, does it stain your undergarments? They say it can but it did not stain mine. wear baggy clothes.
How long does it last? 7 days if you put lotion on each day.
Does each application make you darker, or just maintain? darker.
Can you see results with the 1st application? YES. dramatic results. If you want to be darker, you usually go in for a touch up after 24 hours. It smells funny and you can't take a shower for like 12 hours.

Do you look orange? You're going to need to post before/after pics next time. You wore your bloomers? See I'd think I'd go naked.

I wore my underwear but not my bra. They did not give an option to go butt naked. I did not turn orange. I don't have any pics either.

I've never have had it done but the last wedding I was in the MOH had it done the day b-4. She came to the rehearsal looking orange. She said she just had it done and they lady didn't know what she was doing. So watch out if you are going to do it b-4 the wedding make sure it is someone that knows how to do it.

I've heard that you can get great results- but with anything like that try a "dress rehersal" 6 weeks before, if you can. That way if it sucks, you can let it wear off.
Hey, does any one know of any self-tan removers??? For example, does baby oil work or some other practical thing?? That be good to know just in case.

I've seen people to use Lemon. But baby powder over it tones it down a little.

My sister got all her fake tan off her, by accident, she swam in a friends pool that had a high level of chlorine.

I've used Mystic Tan a couple of times. You basically stand in a box (at a tanning salon) and it sprays you for about 15 seconds or so, then you turn around and it does it again.
It does stain your clothes because you put them back on right away. You have to be careful with it because I've had mixed results. You can end up with streaks if you don't stand the right way, and you have to use a cream that they provide you with so that your cuticles and hairlines don't become too dark.
For a quick fix tan, I would say go for it, but for your wedding, I might be a little nervous.
A GREAT self tan cream/ gel is clarins. They have a whole line and they're all great.

First of all, I do not at all trust myself to get a gel or spray disbursed evenly...I'd absolutely have to have a pro do it. And, I'm so fearful of that, like somehow its better to get sunburned and have ridiculous "real" tan lines than to let someone spray me the wrong way... anyway, I think I'm going to lay in the tanning bed

The place I lay has the spray stuff! If I'm not as dark as I want to be then I will go ahead and do it but just my top half. I'm not worried about my legs they tan fast.

I just started using the Jergens lotion today. They said there will be a subtle difference after 1 week. I wanted to see how it would look. I guess it is supposed to even out your skin tone.

I use the Jergens....it's nice. Gives a natural, nice looking tan. After the week, just use it to maintain. Just make sure you get it spread out evenly!

Hmm you're all scaring me off the Mystic Tan trial. I don't like messing my clothes up, and have no disposible clothing to wear there

One of the ladies I used to work with did it once, it's looked ok on her arms and legs but her feet, hands and face all did odd things, spots streaks dark orangy areas. She did not have a problem with her clothing though.
She thought her spottiness may have something to do with her being pregnant, but I'm not sure about that...
I know that I have a couple dry spots on my body and they cause spots with regular self tanners. I've been using the Jergens one, I think( it's outside right now in the car), and I only use it on my super dry areas every other time. It seems to work well, I'm going to need to get the matchign face lotion too I think.

I'm still an avid supporter of the Tanning Booths - I know you said you didnt like tanning beds, but what about the stand up ones??? You put your hands up and hold two bars above your head so you get a natural all over tan!

I need to get the face stuff but I am scared to put that stuff on my face.
